Ending with a tip top version of Shapes Of Things, the Yardbirds nugget. I assume that if the GHT features James Taylor, then Billy Childish is that guy Hamper. Be good and kind if you can. And I'll do my best too. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

I was unaware of the existence of Ms Kusama until I heard this record from Germany's top act Woog Riots. Now I am so happy to know that Yayoi is still with us on the planet, and her works are wondrous to behold. Playing this on the LSWMB because it's also a great piece of art. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

In the week that Derry was gripped by the presence of Paul Weller in our streets - top man, here to pay respects to the late Eamon Friel - here's a photo of him and his chum Mick. To accompany the playing of Have You Ever Had It Blue? on the Late Show. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

First release from Heavenly since before decimalisation, and it's great. Featuring the singing of Amelia and Cathy from the original line up. Hear it now on the LSWMB. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

They made fewer records than you might have thought. But their latest is excellent. Mainly because it has Disneyland And Rock And Roll on it, say leading commentators. Now airing on the radio to mark Rabbie Bluebell's birthday. (He may hate 'Rabbie' but it looks good written down) buff.ly/MMd0NF3

To mark the passing of the author, and the singer. The same song as The Boys, of course. As Casino Steele was in both. The Hollywood Brat's original now on the Late Show. It might be a bit much, but then so is the Late Show, most weeks. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

The last time I played the Snapped Ankles record, Smart World, I used this picture. But I can't imagine a better one, never mind find a better one. The record's great too. As heard on the Late Show around now. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

I sometimes worry about my love of many frat rock records. Does it suggest a dark side to my soul? OK, maybe not. Double Shot Of My Baby's Love now on the LSWMB buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Reading - or listening to the audiobook - of Rip It Up And Start Again reminded me of the Delta 5's appeal. Now That You've Gone now added to the Late Show list of greatness. And airing as I gaze out the window. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

"No, seriously, that's what it's called. The Onion Song" It took Tammi a couple of minutes to realise Marvin was serious about their new single. Still sounds swell on the Late Show buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Say it with flowers. New single from J. Dudderidge. Aka Later Youth. The Wave. Sounding wavy now on the LSWMB buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Forty years ago this week Johnny Come Home entered the charts. The proper charts. Still a rubber kneed wonder round these parts. Now on the Late Show wMB buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Ah, this is great. And there's even a stereo version on the new(ish) Cherry Red box set Ready For The Countdown. Which is where the rendition that is on the Late Show came from. The genius of the compact disc. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Well, I had not heard of Doye O'Dell until the name appeared on this box of wonder. His 1952 disc Diesel Smoke is excellent. It's a trucking song, I reckon. As heard on the LSWMB buff.ly/MMd0NF3

The Lijuda Sisters. Twins, Kehinde and Taiwo. Kehinde is wearing the beret. And so is Taiwo. Their 1976 nugget 'Danger' is now on the Late Show again. The LP is re-released at the end of this month. There you are now. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Ah! Happy Birthday Robert Hodgens. Wearer of a Levi jacket with aplomb. Bobby Bluebell and his chums and Cath are now on the Late Show. It doesn't actually take a lot to make me laugh, but I love the single. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Thanks @mickeyundertone.bsky.social, that’s the first BBC airing of the new Swansea Sound single. It could also be the last airing, of course

It's Panic Shack, in a pub. Of course, none of them actually drink alcohol. They just know how to make a great photo. Anyway, they need their wits about them to promote their forthcoming debut LP. Which has a song called Gok Wan. Which is on the Late Show now. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

The Chefs. When the world was black and white and glad all over. Their single Sweetie is now on the radio , because the disc jockey thought it would go well after The Four Tops. And you know what thought did, don't you? buff.ly/MMd0NF3

The Four Tops. Even though they were experienced music professionals, they would still indulge a photographer who suggested they jump in the air, like the Beatles did. Their marvellous 'Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever' is now on the LSWMB to mark the birthday of Levi Stubbs. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Swansea Sound not getting swept up in Oasis mania. Just pointing out a few things. Out now, and on the radio round these parts. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Nothing beats a bargain at TK Maxx. Supersonic, the song by which all other rhyming excellence must be judged, still sounds great. Well, on the radio it does. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

"Please mister, please play our records...." It's Morn, from Wales, who are living proof that bands are getting younger and younger as I get older and older. Great record , 'Modern Man', now on the Late Show about now. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

The women from the Delmonas say 'yes'. Great version of 1970/I Feel Alrite now on the Late Show wMB buff.ly/MMd0NF3

How good must it be to have Iggy smile upon you? I hear great things about his concerts at the moment. So , darn it...let's play Lust For Life on the Late Show. It'll make everything seem better. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

It's Rhian from Wet Leg, walking on stage as 'Wheels Cha Cha Cha ' by the Stringalongs* plays over the p.a. speakers. And their new song 'Catch These Fists' plays on the Late Show buff.ly/MMd0NF3 *this reference may fall on stony ground. It's OK, though.

Happy Birthday to Carl Barat. A man who, I suspect, has vast reserves of patience. The Libertines, Don't Look Back Into The Sun, now on the Late Show while he blows out the candles. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

Jim Lowe, singer with The Electric Prunes. News of his death reached here last week. So...... I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) opening this week's Late Show to mark his passing, just like it opened the original Nuggets LP in 1972. buff.ly/MMd0NF3

RIP Andrew Matheson, frontman of The Hollywood Brats, an English glam band in a glum English world, and author of one of the best (and most overlooked) music memoirs of recent times. Seek it out. youtu.be/1GzIJehdr80?...

Thanks @mickeyundertone.bsky.social for the play of 'The Unshaken Frame' by Orions Belte on Friday night. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
