It works!!!! Somewhat!! I was teaching basic sequence work in a class today and it started working midst the class for one student, and then for all of us. Still gives occasional error but refreshing helps. So hopefully it was just an overload problem afterall.

Im keep checking since yesterday but starting to think it may have to do with the situation at NIH. Someone recently predicted here that GenBank is next, I thought it was a joke.

this one just seems so ..ominous, like an intricate venus flytrap, with the central capsule (is it that?) as a bait! It's just a question of time for someone to see it actually snap closed when a little ciliate wonders in. #ProtistsOnSky

jaja, i mean i would probably go to you all with that question! Speaking of which, @andrewjroger.bsky.social would you be willing to share The Evolutionary Origin of Mitochondria and MROs chapter with me, please? I can't access it and kept meaning to ask you. doi.org/10.1007/978-...

But in these last few weeks, all the rhizarians i've seen and learned about from @burnsajohn.bsky.social just blew my mind. Love them.

Also check out out other paper published in the same issue of ISME: academic.oup.com/ismej/articl... Together I think these papers tell a really nice story about the evolution and transmission dynamics of anaerobic ciliate-methanogen symbioses, both freshwater and marine #ProtistsOnSky #SymbioSky
