Gonna take me forever to get all this grease off my screen.

I sure hope the Second Amendment turns out to be worth all this when it lets us resist a tyrannical government that kidnaps innocent people and sends them to foreign gulags. That was the sort of thing it was supposed to be for, right?

The European version also has the original, good (arcadey but controllable) handling model and also has an English option IIRC.
Unfortunately there are a couple extra cars and courses that are only in the US release. I dream that someday someone will hack together a "perfect" version.

I wish they hadn't inexplicably changed the car handling in the US version of this to make it like driving on buttered ice.

I have read this like 4 times now.
He's saying the pies were shaped and arranged to look like a dick and balls, right? That is the only conclusion I can come to that makes any sense for why everyone found this so hilarious.

No, The Simpsons Road Rage was like Crazy Taxi. This is way more like GTA, and it's amazing.

Ah, I see. If your DM had you rolling for stats without some kind of "guardrails" to make sure people can't roll a character who sucks at everything I was going to be indignant on your behalf.

Like, you rolled for stats and rolled poorly, or you seem to always roll badly on a check to see if you know about stuff or do something clever?

Crumlum is the kind of name I would expect to encounter in work like A Series of Unfortunate Events.

If someone reprinted these I think I would have to buy them.

These two Wolf games + Metro Exodus for $7 is bonkers for anyone who hasn't played them.

0083's animation holds up really well, whatever else may be said about it.

I remember when a certain type of bros were ready to declare it the GotY because there's a woman in it they want to fuck and it really bothers them some games have women they don't want to fuck.

I would be down with it if it was a dystopian AU where they really explored the consequences of the fascist and murderous Zeon regime winning.
I don't think it's gonna be that, though.

Lesbians in media get a pass from that crowd as long as they're the type of lesbians they can fantasize about.

I would be down with that, but given the "Zeon did nothing wrong" pandering to a certain type of fan they've been leaning towards with stuff like Unicorn I don't see it happening.

If the BattleTech fandom caught wind of the prospect of new model kits of the "Unseen" Marauder and Warhammer they would basically be the Fry "take my money" meme.

I would be OK with an alternate timeline where Zeon winning gives rise to a dystopia.
But "Char stole the Gundam and painted it red and pwned everyone" smacks of Zeon fanwank.

Isn't there an interview here Tomino says that a lot of the gibberish Zeon unit names in the original series like Z'Gok were because they felt like the suits weren't paying any attention and they started coming up with increasingly silly-sounding stuff just to see if they'd object?

In real life I think if a weapon is longer than about the length of your own arm it's basically impossible to draw from a back scabbard... I think I've read about cosplayers running into this issue and a lot of them actually do use magnets.
comment in response to

I figure it's because having your weapon on your back looks cool but it's difficult to animate actually sheathing/unsheathing it from a scabbard on the back, so they get lazy and just have it somehow clamp onto the character's back like their spine is magnetic.

Yeah I was psyched when WFM was announced because it was the first Gundam property with a female protagonist, but then it turned out to just be yuri bait.

I found all of the cutesy "dice jail" and switching dice when you've been rolling low stuff tedious anyway, but then I was shocked to realize a lot of people more or less actually believe in it.

I have played and GM'd Pathfinder 2E. It is absolutely not the right choice as a starter game for children. The rules are much crunchier and math-heavy than modern DnD.

It's disappointing to see this sort of deliberate bad faith argumentation and misinterpretation of what people say in a civil conversation here. Feels like the other place. But I was naive to think I wouldn't encounter it eventually.
