New little logo for all my self-published comics and TTRPG adventures, from Haunted Vault Studios.

I hate these people, and I know someone is going to say that we should be trying to reach them, but I am sick of playing along with their bullshit. They knew, they didn't care until it impacted their community.

It’s the last day of AAPI month ♥️

This advice could apply to authors, write stuff that lots of people want to buy, I bet it makes having this job so much easier

Lettering quietly shapes so much of the reader’s experience in comics & has been a huge component of conveying my own spirit in my work. I’m an Eisner Award nominee for Best Lettering this year— please consider me when you cast your vote. Thanks for reading & spreading the word about FALL THROUGH.

I don’t think many people following me would ever forgive Elon Musk a thing, but this is a good reminder nonetheless that the stories coming out now are as much about rehabbing this guy’s reputation as much as anything else

I’d been trying to drop all other social media and focus on being here, but my comics just don’t connect that well with users on this app, while they still do well on Instagram.

I have always been a big fan of the Silver Surfer so I did this drawing, in two minute increments, while my infant son was sleeping (sometimes in my arms!) over the last week :)

Making comics may be hard. But it’s like how a good video game is hard. You want to do the difficult thing because it’s also fun and satisfying. And the bad thought in your head get louder if you don’t.

Far Side fumetti

I went to my kids spring orchestra concert last night, one of the groups he wasn’t in did a cover of Enter Sandman, still the most badass song about bedtime ever composed, undefeated

Today is the last day to register to vote in the Eisners— link below! Voting is open for another week.

Tubi understands

A comic about what it's like to be in your late ‘40s.

No Harry Potter, not ever

it can feel like everyone knows this about JKR already, but speaking as someone who does a lot of school visits: no

It is still AAPI month and still time to preorder my next graphic novel! Super Boba 2 is out in Sept 😊🧋 amzn.to/4dGLJTx store.abramsbooks.com/products/sup...

This bothered me too. I don't know anything about The Leader the character, except he has a visually distinct elongated cranium. Not whatever forgettable broccoli-head thing they ended up going with in the movie

"The globular body of the beholder is supported by levitation and it floats slowly about as it wills. Atop the sphere are 10 eyestalks, while in the central area are a great eleventh eye and a large mouth filled with pointed teeth." Gary Gygax, Monster Manual I

The Free Speech Administration throwing down arguably the biggest sledgehammer against free thought and association in my lifetime.

Possible no greater gap between a thing looking like lighthearted fun and actual reality than what us kids in the 80's thought Saturday Night Fever was all about and what it was actually all about

Referring to the president as the commander in chief has always been insidious but uses like this make clear why it's worse than ever now. The president is the commander in chief of the armed forces and that's it. He has no authority to command private individuals or institutions to do anything.

Experimenting with making folk horror Fuzzy Felt, combining shapes from vintage sets with cutting my own. Only a work in progress & a tentative first attempt but I’m enjoying working out the process & possibilities

Doré study from Don Quixote, Poscas in a sketchbook

Doing this after Maine made them blink, especially when you have the resources of a nation-state, is basically signaling that you wanted to anyway

SpaceX will eventually get us to space with a pile of debris tall enough to climb out of the stratosphere.

The runaway hit of the year climaxes with a Black guy machine gunning Klansmen

Restore the theatrical cuts *except* also put some K-2SO robots in it

Such a powerful ending

Although @slj.com persists in paywalling its censorship articles in the midst of unprecedented censorship, the story is in the chart. One out of every three HS librarians is working under fire. That’s not good for them or the students they serve.
