the VP doesn't read, like at all.
Pence was nearly hanged. Ford watched Nixon leave in disgrace. Agnew was dumped. LBJ and 7 others became president after a death. Bush stepped up when Reagan was shot. Strangest of all, Marshall didn’t—Wilson’s wife ran the country for months.

I keep saying the tariffs will show up in August, but keep forgetting to mention when the labor pinch shows up.

What’s the 325 letter German word for wanting to slap someone for being a jerk and at the same time wanting to save him because we can’t lose this generation’s Henry Ford without consequences

Reports show tariffs collected did jump, so some importing, but anecdotal sources including the excellent "What's going on in Shipping" @mercoglianos.bsky.social have said a lot was stuffed into Free Trade Zones to wait for the tariffs to drop.

I’d take Merz and Germany more seriously if they could identify who blew up the Nord Stream pipeline. Losing your cheapest energy source with no accountability is a far bigger issue. GDP has contracted in 6 of the past 12 quarters—if Germany isn’t growing, Europe is stuck.

The shift from earning to winning feels real—and corrosive. A culture that once celebrated work now lionizes luck. Gambling no longer feels like a vice—it’s seen as a legitimate path. What happens when risk replaces planning as the way to get ahead?

Not so. We convinced Canada to stop selling us their oil at a $10 a barrel discount and instead sell it to China at full price. Thereby eliminating our bilateral trade deficit.
