I know. My comment was, apparently, a poor attempt at a joke.

Similar to what Trump said about Canada, the US isn't a real country. It's 50 states heading off in all directions.

I don't think it's fair to say Trump did nothing. He encouraged the insurrectionists.

And I thought the 2nd amendment was all about being ready to fight this.

I agree with you but I'm finding that hardly anyone uses "fewer" anymore.

So when is Tapper's book on the cover-up of Trump's mental deterioration coming out?

If you want rationality and consistency you are asking a lot from this incompetent administration.

If it takes balls to make tough decisions maybe they should only appoint men to SCOTUS. I still think it's a weird metaphor.

Funny expression when 4 of the SCOTUS are women.

Sort of like reporting what celebrities say as if it were important when in fact it's only news because a celebrity said it.

I live in Nova Scotia. The French call it Nouvelle Ecosse. Why doesn't someone make them stop calling it that?

Yes, the Conservatives have lost 4 elections in a row but under 4 different leaders.

"Every nation gets the government it deserves. Joseph de Maistre (1 April 1753 – 26 February 1821) was a Savoyard philosopher, writer, lawyer and diplomat who advocated social hierarchy and monarchy in the period immediately following the French Revolution."

I don't disagree with more taxes on the rich. It's just with a do-nothing Congress I don't see any changes coming for a long time and there are some tax incentives that are intended to promote investment. Whether they do or not is the question.
comment in response to

You have just proven that even bluesky has its arseholes. You might also consider that the rich can move anywhere in the world to avoid taxes. If it was that easy to solve even arseholes could solve this problem.
comment in response to

So no company should advertise to increase business? They should pay taxes instead of marketing expenses. If rich people use legal methods to avoid taxes whose fault is that? You don't seem to realize that if you have a lot of money there are many legal ways to avoid taxes.
