The car crash is indeed coming on 1 July 1969! John was in hospital in Scotland until 6 July while the recording of what would become Abbey Road started up in London. He didn't return to the studio until 9 July (just in time for the latest attempt at Maxwell's Silver Hammer)

Just look at this from Craig Brown's One Two Three Four book. He gets the date of the party wrong and claims Auntie Jin's house on Dinas Lane, Huyton (the scene of Paul's birthday party and Bob Wooler's loss of teeth) is across the Mersey from Paul's house in Allerton. The absolute fool!

Have just noticed that the script of Curse of the Pink Panther was not by Frank Waldman who had worked on the 1970s Panther movies or by William Peter Blatty who had scripted Shot In The Dark - it was by Blake Edwards and his son!

Here's a fascinating fact for you - at the time this record came out in 1977 we had exactly the same chairs in our kitchen as the ones you can see in the background of the Come Again cover!!!

They were back at Abbey Road on 4 Sept with Ringo and recorded what became the single release of Love Me Do. Ringo however by his own admission was over enthusiastic in his playing that day so for the next session a week later, George Martin booked session player Andy White! RIngo never forgot this!
