On the up side fire and tornado damage reduced subsequent damage. In my area the Tornado took out the vulnerable trees, so when the Derechio hit we suffered less damage. For fire care agricultural gun sprinklers can be fitted to hydrants to wet the perimeter.

There should be a requirement that machines be rooted at EOL. The images should be held in escrow in case of bankruptcy. I have 40 year old machines that still run, they may not be able to play the latest games, but old machines can become servers for low demand tasks.
