Also worth watching the left side if the graph showing how we've raised taxes on the poor as we've lowered them in the rich.

This is a great idea! But start at 60 then scale up.

Tried to introduce my kid to the smurfs. They've been redone a few times but we found the 1980s version we grew up on. That stuff is really really weird and dull.

I think I heard of these guys first when George Mason decided to call themselves ASS Law 😊

My computer, with fairly strict security settings put in place by my employer, usually won't open the first few links provided in a Google search because they're all ads. I have to scroll down to find the non-sponsored version of the same thing.

I don't agree w her on everything, but I know she cares about working class people and she fights. I'd vote for her 100%.

I went to Catholic school and if I had made a poster of myself as the pope and posted it on the wall the nuns would have Freaked Out.

Not sure if this counts as "food" but Old Ox, a microbrewery in Northern VA, just went out of business. It's Rye Porter was fantastic. Both dark like a Porter and bitter like an IPA. Was my favorite dark beer by far.

Minecraft is BIG around our house but the few clips I've seen of Jack Black look godawful.

He is already looking to make deals. Maybe he wanted to be Tariff Man and reality is hitting. Maybe it was a negotiation all along. Maybe no one including him knows. Trump embraces ‘tailored’ tariff deals as foreign leaders look to sweeten their offers www.cnn.com/2025/04/08/p...

I still can't believe that in 2021 the US passed a law that cut child poverty roughly in half, then just let it expire. Not that this isn't bad too, I just think about the US throwing away what was really a huge achievement.

Surfer Rosa would make an interesting name, but Dolittle sounds like a dweeb

The full story is nice too because it is news and it is not another "your country is going to hell" story.

What is a cyber charter school? Is it a charter school that is 100% online? (Tried to read the article but it's paywalled)

Definitely gotten worse since the country has gone into free fall. But it's at the point where I need to stop checking repeatedly each day.

A widespread Offline Week would be good. The first 48 hours would be hard, though.
