So, we had a bit to say about this... “The board must stop disrespecting the public and ABC staff by treating the broadcaster as its plaything,” the house committee said. “We’ve seen three chairs in a row scandalised by inappropriate interference in management of the ABC.”

Yes that’s true. I was posting this in the context of the Lattouf matter. And I think there was an important difference. Guthrie resisted pressure to sack Albericci and Probyn. But the testimony last week seemed to show no such resistance to taking Lattouf off air. But what you say is true i think.

Actually management didn’t at the time. It was the chair of the board who tried to get rid of her. Management stood firm and didn’t sack her.
