Okay. I feel like my blood pressure has dropped significantly.
I hope you all take some time to think of the good things in your own lives this week.❤️

My neighbor and I replaced our fence this week, and during the one day it was down between, my dog and I walked over into his backyard and he and I chatted while our dogs played together.
PLUS the guys replacing the fence also took out some wood in my yard that I've wanted to get rid of for ages.

I dropped lit over the weekend for two different candidates in special elections that happened Tuesday and got to walk through areas of my city and surrounding areas that are new to me.
And one of those special elections ended up having a *fifty point shift to the left.*

I have plans to go to a new restaurant tomorrow night with some friends from church!
Relatedly, one of my goals this year was to try a new restaurant once a month and I haven't been doing great at it. But over the past couple of weeks, I've been out to eat at three new places!

Yesterday evening my friend and I watched a high school AU parody of a dramatic Japanese play (parody and original both written by the same person) and I am still WHEEZING at how hilarious it was.

I got up early this morning and instead of going on a walk (it was raining) I snuggled with the dog on the couch for 30 minutes.
We DID go on a walk after work and I saw three ducks with a whole PASSEL of baby ducklings chilling out next to the neighborhood pond.

Thank you for the reminder - I'm getting so angry about some of this stuff that it's giving me a headache and I *know* that can't be good

I dropped lit in that district over the weekend and let me tell you, yard signs for the Dem candidate were EVERYWHERE. I don't think I even saw 10 for the R.

One of the R reps from my state (not mine, sadly) publicly said that the potential cuts to NOAA/NWS make his stomach cramp because, y'know, we're smack-dab in the middle of Tornado Alley, and many, many red states are in the same boat. This is absolutely a pressure point we can push on.

My friend and I have been watching the Jeremy Brett Holmes weekly for the last few months and just finished it this past week. I'd never seen it before and I think it may be my favorite version. It's just amazing how well he embodies Sherlock.
