@abbyphillip.bsky.social: "The cabinet are stuck on legal talking points" is exactly it, Abby Phillip. They sound pathetic. When did not having to obey a 'lower court ruling' become a phrase that rolls off their lips with such nonchalance...⚖️

@errollouis.bsky.social Thank you, Errol Louis, "...wrap up...we're done with this topic."

@errollouis.bsky.social Let's go, Errol❕ Hope you and Brian discuss the horrific spectacle we witnessed today, forcibly removing a United States senator from a press conference for speaking up, and whether a NYC mayor would allow such conduct to take place in our city.

No notes.

ICYMI, @elizabethkim.bsky.social & @rachelholliday.bsky.social preview tonight's 2nd NYC mayoral Dem debate: www.wnyc.org/story/city-p...

It’s not illegal for a United States Senator to go to a public press conference and ask questions about your constituents safety. It's our job.

This weekend we remind them that this is our country too.

House Republicans just voted to cut off public radio broadcasts, defund your local PBS station, and rip away lifesaving aid and bipartisan investments to advance U.S. interests around the world. I'll be doing everything I can to defeat this bill as it comes to the Senate.

Today they have crossed a deep red line. We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

Sen. Chuck Schumer: "I just saw something that sickened my stomach; the manhandling of a United States Senator. We need immediate answers to what the hell went on."

Boebert: What we’re seeing in LA is an insurrection Pritzker: You don’t know understand what insurrection is. It is outrageous that you are asking that when you are the one condoning the pardoning of people that attacked police.

I know these comparisons are tiring but: Imagine if the Secret Service and FBi wrestled Tom Cotton or Josh Hawley to the ground and cuffed them for interrupting Sec. Mayorkas speaking at a press conference?! The impeachment articles would fly! And in fact, they DID impeach Mayorkas for less….

I'm on my way to the Senate floor to talk about the assault on my colleague, Senator Alex Padilla. This is a horrifying moment in our nation’s history.

Damn right!! 👊

A federal court hearing is about to begin soon in California's lawsuit challenging Trump's deployment of troops in Los Angeles. I'm listening in virtually for All Rise News. The Zoom room now seems to be at capacity. Background www.allrisenews.com/p/rob-bonta-...

We are marching to Senator Thune’s office. There must be accountability for the detainment of a Senator. This is not normal.

Afterwards, Sen. Padilla framed what happened in exactly the right way: "If this is how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator with a question...I can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, to day laborers, in Los Angeles & throughout California & the country."

Blatant lies from official government feeds. Do they not know we all see the video?

BREAKING: Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., speaks out after being forcibly removed and cuffed from DHS Sec. Noem's press conference.

BREAKING: SENATOR PADILLA HANDCUFFED AND THROWN TO THE GROUND AFTER BEING FORCIBLY REMOVED FROM PRESS CONFERENCE.

This is disgusting. If this is how they treat Alex Padilla, a United States Senator, how do you think they’ll treat you?

Nancy Mace. NATIONAL. DISGRACE.

Twitter needs to be BANNED by the next administration. The MAJORITY of the comments are applauding the forcible removal of a United States senator by the thugs in Kristi Noem's detail. THIS. MUST. STOP.❕⚖️🇺🇸❕

Illinois follows the law — we expect the federal government to follow the law, too. We won't participate in abuses of power. We won't violate court orders. We won't ignore the Constitution. We won't defy the Supreme Court. We won't take away people’s right to peacefully protest.

Trump is acting like a dictator, no matter how much Republicans in Congress try to cover it up. @repyassansari.bsky.social: “This is the most dystopian, horrific episode of Black Mirror I have ever seen.”

Are they going to indict Senator Padilla too?

I stand with my colleague @replamonica.bsky.social against Trump's attempts to silence and intimidate her and every Member of Congress trying to do our jobs. Trump's authoritarian takeover will not succeed.

Scott Perry questioning Gov. JB Pritzger and Gov. Hochul about whether Trump is breaking the law is making me barf.

Cruelty is the point, and chaos is the blueprint.
