I'm doing my part.

The royal guard rigs in The Fall of Sunset Shimmer used weird tricks that broke in later versions of Toon Boom. If I ever have to rerender those scenes I'll have to use version 14 or 15.

So I stuck with version 21 for much longer. They no longer offer 21 download links. If I were to upgrade computers I may be screwed.

I've been terrified of doing Toon Boom updates since version 22 broke a lot of things that nearly ruined Bright Eyes in the Thunderclouds. They did fix the issue later in 24, but you could never know for sure if it would stay fixed.

This is how QuickTime 7 looks like, and this is the specs it requires, for reference.

Not this piece, but since we're here. Art by @puppypixelz.bsky.social

I remember asking an artist for small breasts on a piece, and he kinda just froze, like I asked him something he never thought he'd be asked.

The guy was fired from BuzzFeed for plagiarism of all things. He's absolutely not gonna bother checking his claims.

Wait that's not Pipp.

I might try Trot again since it's a shorter drive and I have the time off. I didn't apply for panels so I don't really know what to expect tbh.

I miss regular cable. Now that everything runs thru the internet I have to deal with lower internet speeds the moment I want to watch the news.

Ah shoot... I was hoping it would become a new holiday tradition.

I bought two more.

Seems like a recurring Republican pattern. Look at a thing from the past, misunderstand it, want it back.

I'll be doing another visit to the store tomorrow. I think they might have differing stocks between stores.

This is what you'd expect out of a PWM light with a rolling shutter. Basically to get a dimmer light, it just flashes the LED really fast so it appears to light up. Unfortunately a rolling shutter camera will catch that flicker and give weird artifacts.
comment in response to post
All brightness levels besides full brightness runs thru PWM, which is a bit annoying if it's meant to be used while filming a video. I can't complain too much since I got it for $5.

Gonna try to see if I can buy a second one before they stop selling them. A while back I found a nice big warm LED light at another Dollarama, never found a second one.

Apple, finally matching my Samsung Galaxy S2 from 2011.

What do they mean a shortened fifth season? 10 episodes a season barely counts as a season.

I can't be more specific at the moment since it involves spoilers, but a lot of it comes down to having Hollywood ideas but McDonald's dollar menu budget. I had to figure out a way to make it work, and I finally did.

Not a good look when you're getting beaten at chess by a system that could barely keep up drawing the chess board on a TV.

And don't forget Super Smash Bros.

The signal is technically interlaced, but the console hijacks the field signal to keep the TV only updating one set of field to get a "progressive" image. It's a really weird approach, I'm surprised it works.
comment in response to post
Mischief Makers ran in interlaced mode? Interesting, I thought almost no N64 games did that.

Did they also get their AI to code that?

Not sure how my Minty would feel about buying thin mints.

Took some tests of the optical zoom. It's actually pretty good, surprisingly. If I could somehow swap the electronics with a modern smartphone's sensor, I'd be pretty happy. In theory I could find one with a 1/2.3" sensor, but I have no idea how I'd handle the motorized optics.
