“No! Mis hijos estan en La escuela! (My kids are in school!) Por favor!” Tennessee’s @davidwontshutup.bsky.social on a very difficult video to watch of ICE grabbing a mother outside immigration court in Texas.

Truss on steroids. Farage at Las Vegas Bitcoin bash: - Capital Gains Tax slashed to 10% - BoE to hold crypto - Banks banned from closing crypto accounts Labour are scrutinised for every brain fart they dared to utter. Now journos are practically praying for another economy-crashing wanker.

Interesting polling from YouGov on who’d make the best PM. Farage loses to every other major party leader including Davey. ▪️Starmer beats Farage by 44% to 29% ▪️Starmer’s lead over Kemi Badenoch as best Prime Minster is 36% to 25% ▪️Britons prefer Badenoch as Prime Minister to Farage by 29% to 25%

Worth noting that literally every other leader is preferred to Nigel Farage as PM. This could become quite important if/when a general election approaches with polling suggesting Farage has a real shot at being PM

Is Trump going to lash out at Charles on Truth Social after this? Can't wait...

I for one am shocked that a man who only turned up for one Fisheries meeting out of 42 when he was an MEP would decide to go on holiday when Parliament was sitting, rather than during the 18 weeks it is closed.

owning the euro-libs by waiting in the longest possible queue before I can start my holiday

Is this a genuine post on X? What's wrong with this guy? Is the Guardian still publishing his writings?

New YouGov poll: - 66% would support the UK having closer relationship with the EU - This includes half of both Leave (52%) and Reform UK (54%) voters - Majority (53%) support Britain rejoining the European Union - Six in ten believe Brexit has been more of a failure than a success

Starmer's EU deal is a big break in the suffocating Brexit consensus that has held Britain back for the past decade. For the first time a British government is doing things to actually undo the damage of Brexit, rather than increase it. For that alone it should be welcomed

Social media this morning is a zombie apocalypse of dinosaur Tory politicians and right wing hangers-on hankering after the nasty Brexit wars of the last decade. Our country has moved on!

Your eternal reminder that Nigel Farage turned up to just one of 42 meetings when he was a member of the European Parliament fisheries committee

The coverage of this EU deal acts like the last five years haven't happened. Polls now show overwhelming support for a closer relationship with the EU, with even Reform voters backing things like the youth mobility scheme, and yet the coverage is still being framed about "betrayals" of Brexit

Let's get Bruce Springsteen to number 1 on Spotify this weekend!

Labour has a whopping great majority and four years left to turn this country around. They should be setting the agenda, not chasing about trying to placate voters of a party with five MPs who will never vote for them anyway. It's not only disappointing... it's embarrassing

Just wondering how Farage will respond to the US trade deal. Is he going to criticise Labour and Starmer for a deal that his mate Trump calls fantastic? And is he going to accuse Labour of betraying British farmers while he himself has dismissed the worries about chlorinated chicken for years?

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉 Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace. You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

trying to imagine the reaction to two planes falling off an aircraft carrier with kamala harris as president

V good letter in The Guardian on Labour’s flailing hopelessness in the face of Reform. Come on, Labour. The country is crying out for better. We’re sick of this ugly rightwing agenda. It brings nothing but failure. It’s disloyal to your voters and to the country. You’ve got power and time. Use them.

Well so much for that “Brexit benefit”. Really didn’t last long.

If someone asked President Biden if he had to uphold the Constitution, and his answer was "I don't know," he would have been removed from office immediately. Stop letting dementia trump get away with trashing the fucking Constitution.

'Don't you dare try to invest in our area or create jobs'. Just imagine this lot in charge of the country

This is one of the best ads I have ever seen and I can’t believe I missed it

It's my decade long held opinion that many on the Brexit right are not really voting about migrants or EU membership or any of the other crap they purport to be about. They're voting against other people's joy.

What's the point of Kemi Badenoch? Surely the Tories are going to have another leadership election within months?

Anybody who thinks that Reform voters will learn a lesson, once they see how Reform councillors f*ck up local matters, is deluded. They will just blame the Labour Government.

Ten men have been sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court for grooming and sexually exploiting girls in Greater Manchester. Guess who’s not talking about this? The usual suspects. It’s dangerous to remain silent about some, and over report others. Source: www.cps.gov.uk/north-west/n...
