Now THAT is a telling answer in two parts.
First, "our people" were withdrawn
Second, "Those who helped us" are apparently safe. Could this be a Russian resistance movement? Russians unhappy with the war, Putin an all that comes with???
As Rachel Maddow often says: "Watch this space"

It wasn't always like this. In early days, when the Commodore 64 was the cat's meow of home computing there only limited Internet & mostly BBS's, various online services like Q-Link, GEnie, Compuserve and Yahoo. It went downhill when Steve Case created AOL out of Q-Link. Monetization was the culprit

Because they don't want to be filmed, have identities confirmed. I've known some Leo's & even before cell phone video they often preferred to not have neighbors know they were police. Today though, it's taken new meanings for some of them.

Personally, i prefer posting these things with the source link if at all possible. Call me crazy, but i do think/hope there are people out there still, who will take the time to look up, research, learn & not just follow memes.
But, then i'm an old school kind of guy.

The thing that scares me about this, is that someone WILL escalate, injure or kill someone. Doesn't matter who how, or why.
Trump will then have his "Reich stag Fire" incident & declare martial law, possibly worse.

You know i never really noticed it until this clip...but Musk has what you'll read about regarding people who show no remorse...he has what are often called "dead eyes".

I'd have to guess they are in hardened installations, however since nearly everything else would be down, or impaired it would make much of a difference. Power generation, transmission, devices all gone bye-bye.

Even if i were to rationlize some of these cuts (which i don't), it is the irresponsible what in which progams were halted without any thought to what might replace or bridge these programs as funding streams changed.
For this reason alone, Musk & many others SHOULD face criminal/civil charges.

for this kind of situtation. For COVID vaccine denial across broad swaths of the public, contrary to medical science for PURELY political reasons, it seems could be possible cases for prosecution.
This is no different than a robbery get-away driver being charged for murder during a robbery.

I'm thinking it's time to consider this issue. CEO's & exec's have enjoyed defacto "immunity" from criminal/civil actions in far too many situations as it is. Now that we have Gov't bureaucrats under Trump DELIBERATELY taking actions they KNOW will cause death/injury/harm we need to prepare laws

Well i surely hope when MAGA is defeated at the polls and the trials of Trump & company begin SOMEBODY supeona's Mark Burnett (producer of The Apprentice, paid off with an Ambassador appointment) who probably more than anyone else created the myth of Donald Trump.

While it's very amusing to some i suppose, i personally don't come to Bluesky for comic relief. Not sure what you're doing, but i'm pretty sure i don't need it.
So, at a minimum, it's the Mute list for you. Adios!

The GOP learned/knows what Dems do not (yet). Plan years ahead, start at grass roots level, & STICK to the playbook.

Without better demographics i dont see how anyone can come to more specific conclusions than...eventually racially mixed marriages become mainstream.
If anything it looks to me like we're seeing generational change at work. The culture shifted.
This IS what MAGA/GOP is all about, changing the

The 2nd post suggests Democrats "study" then reformulate messaging is what Dems have traditionally done & poorly of late.
It leaves out what seems consistent among voters, especially those Democrats need to recruit or re-recruit.

Ok..first of all, just based on what's been posted, that graph is not about what Democratic Party members thought about inter-racial marriage, it reflects society as a whole. It's not specifice even racially, it could include all POC. Break down the demographics and present THAT information.

Well that's just dandy. Now the entire graduating class from West Point knows their "Commander-in-Felonies" is basically a senile old moron (pre-senility!) who hasn't a fricking clue what he's saying, doing or thinking about.
Yep, that's what the future officer corps needs to know about Trump.

It looks like they were looking for someone else, possibly a relative of his working on the same jobsite who did lack documentation for being in the US.
It may be, these "Agents" simply don't know what real US ID's look like, it may be they just don't care.
Either way, it's incompetence.

You could do that, but you'd i think you'd be commiting several felony level crimes. So, that's not a good idea, at least not the full outing of observed agents. Keeping photographic/video records, unpublished, is so far as i know, legal in public places and may be useful for future prosecutions

It's been reported they are using quasi-"law enforcement" from other Federal Agencies, essentially sworn/weapon carrying agents without immigration or real-world on the street police backgrounds.
IF true, it explains, but not justifies, the very rough and insolent conduct of ICE raids.

THIS is exactly right and the corollary to it is that should Trump run again, as he says he might, or someone in his footsteps, they believe they can return to these same communities...LIE about what they did/did not do & blame someone else expecting these people will believe it

It's my understanding that is is EXACTLY this kind of "in your face" street theater that got vets who took to the streets after WW1 to protest how they were neglected after giving their service...and it's how they got them.
They had already earned them.
Just saying.

..that there is any other force that, much like that brave man standing before Chinese tanks in Tiananmen Square did to stop an advancing column.
THAT is what America needs to see. I can see non-vets taking the same stand WITH those vets together. Peaceful, forceful ACTION in the streets.

..i do not think anyone in this Congress who approves of this parade will change their mind because constituents who will never vote for them send letters. We don't need to influence our Congressional allies either.
The optics of veterans in the street protesting would be huge, and i can't think ..

What we SHOULD have...is a counter demonstration by veterans who have or are in danger of losing medical/behavioral health benefits due to the actions of this Adminstration. Preferrably one that would block/interfere with Trumps parade. I'm not a vet, did not serve so maybe it's not my fight, but ..

I'm not one to deny that or biological makeup can/does influence behavior, maybe even how we view the world around us, but i do think this is closer to Eugenics than is healthy. At least in terms of pointedly connecting what many consider undesireable behavior (politically) to biological makeup,

Why stop there? If someone "associates" with a Fascist, & then associates with someone else...why that 3rd person must be a Fascist too. Same if they have a spouse, or kids...or living parents. They're a cancer? Get them all why don't you?

Out of curiousity, how many dead Gazan's will it take to satisfy Israels need for vengence? What's the ratio of Dead Israelis vs Dead Gazans that we need here? Biblically speaking are we close?
I mean c'mon 14,500 children killed by the IDF since 10/7? Got to be less than 10K right Mr Marshburn?

Well, thank goodness the IDF did not slay 14,000 Gazan babies! What relief THAT is!!
It's probably only 7,000, or maybe 8 or 9...10,000 tops..right??
So, do tell us, just how many children under 5 years old being torn apart by explosives will it take to bring Israel justice for the 10/7 attack?

I do think that this kind of "log-in" experience, a clearing House for all thing Democratic Party is a good idea, and the polling aspect...while i have concerns, could play a significant role IF the Party can restrict access TO Party members

Sounds like a good idea, but i can't see any good way to implement it that could reliably work.
Better is to do what AOC, Murphy & others are doing, going to where people are to speak to & listen to them in person.

Just a simple question, hopefully a simple answer.
Does ICE (or LE generally) distinguish arrests between known perpertrators of violence vs those with no record of violence?
As an example, Does ICE distinguish risk of apprending a known MS-13 member and a European student doing a doctoral study?
comment in response to

I don't mean to be harsh but that's politics for you sometimes. I wish it wasn't so, but for many in our country securing their full Civil Rights took time, it was an incremental process with gains/set-backs and long path.
No one likes that & it shouldn't be like this, but that how it is sometimes.

For many, things like who competes in scholastic athletics was more important than keeping your medical care secure, even though it inflamed many & helped few. Arguably, it helped fuel Trumpism & your problems
