That resonates.
By enormous coincidence the Beegees just started singing Staying Alive on the radio.

This is a more serious thread I am linking, but Iβm sharing it mostly to say, sometimes, it doesnβt have to be a GOOD reason as long as we find a better reason soon
I once chose life because my laundry was still in the machine in my building and didnβt want my underpants found by neighbors

There's got to be money involved somewhere. Labour is destroying itself and its hope for being elected again, it has to be for money.

Apparently they did.
It was the same day as Boston Pride so they converged later.

Trump _says_ 45 so it's not that π
I expect by the time they've paid for everything it'll be way way more than 90.

This was "law enforcement" escalating violence. Not protesters! Both MSNBC reporters on site did an excellent job reporting on this and emphatically stating in no uncertain terms that the police were responsible for this! We need more reporters like them. They deserve a lot of credit!!!

After a decade or more of video of police brutality and then being let off, what's all too sadly believable right now is that the police would cover it up. They've undermined all trust.

Without them the patriarchy wouldn't be able to do that though.

Oh fuck what are they doing now? Having an inquiry into why trans people weren't persecuted sooner?

They wanted trans people to use the bathroom of their birth sex and now cis men can use that to gain access to women's toilets (like they needed it).
They want ICE agents to wear casual clothes and hide their identities when kidnapping people so men can use that to gain access to children.

We've already seen that they're untouchable, even when the horror is on video. It's not like they're going to be better if it's her word against his and some bruises.

I think the key issue is that this guidance, and Labour's subsequent backing of it, have all of us overthinking subtle nuances of things like this.
We also know that gender criticals will be doing the same to try and guess who to attack.
We're all forced to think about what they will think.

Wes Streeting? Why, when you even explicitly talk about his anti trans stance, would you have him on the list!
What exactly is he "pioneering"? The removal of healthcare for trans people? Why would you do this? Why put this list together at all?
comment in response to

It even talks about Streeting being shit to trans people in the blurb about him!

I've seen that used often enough. Even worse when it's lesbians policing other lesbians. My friend was told (almost at fist-point) that she couldn't call herself queer.

We're all going to wake up and find that the last decades have been a dream, and that in reality we were never born.
We'll all be like, "argh! What's going on! I don't even exist! How am I dreaming?"
Transphobes just say anything at all and it gets reported uncritically.

The experience was alarming but as a trans woman also affirming, if only because I was being treated like a cis woman and there was no suggestion he thought I was trans (this surprised me, I don't feel like I pass).

Yes! There are some extremely transphobic lesbians but the vast majority are really welcoming.
The attempts to divide LGBT are not going well. LGB people still remember being the targets.
Still remember the tactics.

The way I see it, if someone doesn't like your labels so much they can just not be friends with you.
Why do they think they should get to decide what you call yourself.
A femme lesbian friend had trouble with a butch lesbian saying she was a traitor, and that another shouldn't call herself queer.

When AI starts becoming the main and extremely cheap source of labour they're not going to need the slave population they've been cultivating, so prisons would just cost them money.
We're entering uncharted territory.
