I'd recommend outlets like AP, Reuters, BBC, DW, CBC, or some Australian sources. ProPublica is reliable, but doesn't have "breaking news." If you must have a live news fix, try PBS News Hour. Try to avoid the talking heads for your own sanity, and to get a perspective outside of our silos.
