Only a monster could do what they did to Johnathan & his husband. The fact that he was shot is horrific in itself but to know of the harassment they faced is hard to hear.
In his final moments he was traumatized and now his husband must carry the grief of a murder that could've been prevented if-

When they found their dogs skull and collar in the mailbox Johnathan and his husband obviously reacted in horror and broke down
