I'll try not to get on your bad side... :)

Not fine art, but I use artists' tools (mostly airbrush with some oils and pastels). My latest scale model project, 95% done.

That's seriously impressive! More than I expected.

Yeah, it's a huge relief to see!

Whoa! I saw the pics from Boston and NYC - so glad to see so much turnout!

Wow - bigger than I expected!

I really enjoyed that one but you're right to DNF it if it's not clicking for you.

My brain is like 5 Looney Tunes cartoons running at double speed at the same time. Always...

In other words, stop pushing back on the fascist takeover?

Looking forward to seeing what you do with them!

But... but... I have family members that have assured me that Fox has told them everything's fine and there's no fascism to see here! We'rs all just being hysterical libtards! Surely Fox is telling the whole story accurately...

I bet! Conversely, I'm.looking forward to breaking out the windbreaker and not feeling like I'm about to get run over by a tauntaun outside...

I work in IT - I go through that cycle about 20 times a day. Imposter syndrome stinks, but your art is fantastic no matter what you may think at snany given moment.

Mine are all over the latest news. We're just dealing with family members in the cult who tell us we're "lost" when we call out what's 100% plain to see.

That's very therapeutic.

I was thinking Gulf of Compensation - sorta the same idea...

I love tuxies. :) Boo was 8 weeks old when my oldest son adopted her, and she was dark gray for the first few months.

Yep- irresistible. My Boo's kinda like that.

Totally!

Both of mine are total sweethearts and divas at the same time. Not sure how that works, but it does...

Happy Valentine's Day! Boo's been my cuddlebug the last few days.

Have fun! That's cool about your ancestors coming from Transylvania!

Not fine art like what you do, but I enjoy building and painting models of historic aircraft. My day job is a data system designer, so the geekiness runs deep with me. :)

You have a Boo too? Mine's always in the mood for treats or attention.

As long as they don't show up with a cookbook...

I haven't read Hitchhiker's in ages! I remember dying laughing at that and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Bouncing around reading eclectic stuff is fun too - I'm way behind on a lot of new SF stuff. Spent a lot of last year studying for Epic certifications, so my reading fell way off.
comment in response to

Any other authors on deck? I've been on a bit of a roll with Blake Crouch's SF stuff - very Twilight Zone-y.

Nice! I've actually only read a few of his (11/22/63 and The Shining) but I really liked them.

Looks like you're nailing the details from here.

Nice! Never got the hang of those.

I need to get better about that. I like to exercise outside, but that falls by the wayside when it's icy and getting dark by the time I logoff work.

My sons and I crack up every day at least once because of my two. Comedy gold.

The only reason I ever got on was because of extended WFH/quarantine, but those apps do not play to my strengths. I didn't have any obnoxious experiences like what you did, but I do much better getting to know people naturally and building repoire that way.
comment in response to

Oy... I've pretty much nuked the apps at this point.
