OK, better than Ripa: I attended a funeral for a friend in Montreal in the 90s; at the reception, saw a face I recognized. Couldn't place them and kept looking their way. Finally, she noticed, shot me a dark look. And that's how I pissed off Courtney Love. (Decedent's daughter was her bassist.)

I passed Kelly Ripa on the street in Montreal during Juste pour rire festival one year. She was posing in front of Le colisée, one of the ugliest buildings in town.

Why do we keep spending time and money proving that overdose prevention centres work?

I was thrilled to meet Peter at a recent meeting and get the chance to thank him for his brave work to improve the health and wellbeing of Scots. Rest in power!

Overdose deaths remain far above historic averages. There's no indication that any of the small measures most jurisdictions implemented had any meaningful impact. Most people living with a drug use disorder still cannot easily access harm reduction or evidence-based clinical care.

When Brandon got wired as a teen, Angie had a difficult choice to make: should she force him to sober up? If she did, what would happen to their relationship? www.crackdownpod.com/episodes/epi...

"While the B.C. government is beginning to use involuntary commitment... Fowler said there should be greater emphasis on providing compassionate and effective care from the earliest possible point." Every involuntary commitment is a failure of the existing system of mental health care.

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Yes, everyone’s survival function is zero given a long enough timeline. (HT my clinical epi prof.) Only ghouls say that is a reason to eliminate healthcare for poor children and adults.

I still think the best idea for progressive donors is to just revive every alt-weekly in the country and staff them with 10 reporters each.
