In high school (late 70's, early 80's) used to go Rainbows in Kapahulu between 2-a-day football practices & order the chili plate combo. $1.20 for the plate (chili, 2 scoops rice & 1 scoop creamy mac salad), $.70 for a large coke. Subtotal: $1.90, $.08 for the governor, so $1.98, less than $2.
