I feel like it's do-or-die time for our country, and it's my duty to show up for every protest I can. Every issue is my issue because this is my country. "A republic, if you can keep it". It worries me that most of the faces I see in these protests are senior citizen white folks like me.

As @timothysnyder.bsky.social says, the camps were in Poland instead of Germany not because Germany was "inconvenient", but because Germany was within the pale of law. Poland was outside the zone of German law...just as El Salvador is outside US law snyder.substack.com/p/state-terror
