It’s as though the spin cycle of the circle of life is out of control. Likely can never be fixed.

In order to survive the implosion of the US, Canada will have to make very difficult value sacrifices. Bold choices. Maybe pragmatic choices in the short term. These are existential threats, no doubt about it.

Not contradicting the criticisms. JT was an antidote in 2015. But Canada has been watching the US self destruct for 10 years. MC may be the antidote to survive either a US civil war or Trump’s success. Sophie’s choices need to be made to survive and multi tracks are in play for whatever outcomes.

I have a very bad feeling about the next 4-5 days. I hope I am over reacting although these past 10 years have clearly shown that I have not been over reacting.

50 years ago as a first year political science my first essay was Tyranny of the Majority vs Tyranny of the Minority. I wish I had a copy now, decades later. My prof was taking his turn teaching a 100 level course but interestingly his expertise was all things Russia.

I don’t know how Raj is so wrong most of the time. She hasn’t figured out that Canadian voters made a deliberate calculation on their priorities. First, who best to fight Trump. Second, no PP. As long as the threat remains prized policies are set aside. US inflation/unemployment as key to future.

Oh yes they dreamed it, Russia plays the long game.

Please discuss what Canada will do if there is a real civil war in the US and/or complete disregard for the rule of law. Supreme Court can stop by declaring all these executive orders illegal and not enforceable. Likely won’t happen. Canada needs to be proactive but will mainly be reactive for now.

Maybe just stupid is as stupid does?

Supportive until the coming recession affects them. Loss of a job, unable to keep pace with inflation, civil rights suspended, for example.

What a sham. This may get toys on the shelves for Christmas. It doesn’t help business planning if it’s only a 90 day pause. I would love to know who finally got through to Trumo that he would listen.

No surprises anymore. No more outrage. The outrage basket is empty.

Chantal is brilliant. She seems very impatient with the analysis of her colleagues.

Really hunting for an off ramp before the collapse begins. Empty shelves etc very soon. Can the damage be mitigated over the summer to avoid a dismal fall and winter? June 14 will be a very interesting day. The grand parade and counter parades!

These silly announcements are meant to assuage the stock market. Once the shelves are bare and prices hike and businesses go under, the public will start to feel the pain. This is only solved by dissent within the US. There are plenty of warnings but these warnings do not help.

Absolutely no respect for anyone or anything. Despicable!
