Do you have the same problem with the United Negro College Fund, because it has Negro in the name? Black folks in the US don’t like to be called people of color for the most part. That’s why in BIPOC, the first 2 letters specify Black and Indigenous outside of people of color.

Not trying to be funny, but I gather from your spelling of colour vs color you’re not from the US. So I’m curious why you would mention the NAACP without reference to the importance its had in civil rights. When it was named black = colored in the US. Context is important. 1/

And you think filing articles of impeachment would work better? I’m not going to engage anymore because it seems to be fruitless. Enjoy your day.

I think it’s important to know how these things work. If you someone to annoy them, that should be us. If WE annoy them by calling and writing things get done. We have to show them that there’s more of us than those in agreement with this current course.

That’s not how it works. They introduce the articles and the speaker effectively kills them because they don’t go up for a vote. At most it would be symbolic. That doesn’t seem effective if folks don’t know Al Green has done this before during this session.

He has no shame. That’s a big part of the problem. He’s a spineless liar who is more afraid of not being in proximity of perceived power than of using the power he has. If he and Thune used their power it would stop, but they won’t. This is squarely on them. They aren’t dumb. They’re intentional.

But the onus is already on Mike Johnson for abdicating his responsibilities as the leader of a coequal branch of government.

I believe articles have already been filed be rep Al Green this session. Republicans, especially Mike Johnson, will not act. So what do you want the democrats to do? They don’t have a majority.

Not all of them want to say this. As much as I despise him, John Cornyn has been a long time advocate and driving force in making Juneteenth a federal holiday. That’s the only honorable thing I think he’s done since being in office. Feel free to correct me.

I wanted to point that out as well. I’m not Arab, but I know all Arabs aren’t the same.

Respectfully, I disagree. Inviting him would be seen as an approval of his policies. He’s done irreparably harm to the legacies of NAACP members. He doesn’t deserve the honor of being able to decline an invitation.

Yes all the lies like they normally do, but are they selling phones and what not too? That looked a lot like the T mobile “T” behind him. The grift never ends.

Technically he’s considered the highest ranking member of the military so the troops would salute going passed him and he salutes back to release them from their salute. The hand over heart is for the anthem.

Can someone tell me what was said? I don’t have TikTok, I deleted after they shut down, so I can’t see the video. Please and thank you.

Again, you refuse to turn the mirror on yourself. We are no better. You refuse to acknowledge that. I wish I could feel sorry for you.

You want to talk about criminal leaders when we have a convicted felon in office? Idk, maybe we should mind our own business/country. This is not going to end well.

Your demands clearly mean nothing. And you don’t have the right to tell other people how to govern their country. That’s such a weird assumption. And you think Israel will stop at Iran? Next will be Jordan. You’ll find a way to excuse it though. So weird.

Israel attacked without provocation and you’re deflecting. That deal was stopping Iran’s nuke program. We went back on our word. Now Iran is supposed to suffer because we have an incompetent leader in office? Your logic is why I believe the pain is the point.

We had a deal in place when Obama was in office. What happened to it? Oh right! Trump scrapped it. You keep deflecting. Israel could use the advice you just gave.

So 200+ people deserved to die because of 4 men? Where shall we start with Americans that have been killed by our own government? Or which president/leader do you want to have targeted based on our transgressions? We aren’t better. And we don’t have the right to punish without cause. We had a deal.

Let’s not start calling regimes criminal given our history. We even pay other countries to hold hostages. Every indictment we make about other countries can be made about us. Does that mean innocent people deserve to be blasted without provocation just because of our government?
comment in response to

That’s not your decision or business. But since you brought it up, the goal should never be to own nukes. That doesn’t help humanity.

What did Joy lie about? She’s a Harvard educated journalist. You don’t have to make excuses for them. They could have moved Katie. What about Medhi? And Tiffany got fired for speaking the truth. I used to watch MSNBC for years. They’re stomping on truth tellers across networks.

Someone told me my marriage failed because I didn’t take my ex husband’s last name. It couldn’t have been because he was irresponsible or financially abusive lol.
