No notes on the Angel Dust ep though. Valentino is a much better example of a villain for what this show wants to be, and Angel Dust is a good character to focus on for the whole "sinner redemption" lens the story takes. Would love to have seen that level of focus for the whole season

On that note, Alastor sucks. He's MEANT to be like a charismatic bastard I guess, but he just comes off as a smurf, he's a big fish in a small pond. None of his smug confidence feels earned since everyone he shows up is less "cool" than he is, or is just a chump. He feels incredibly artificial

The part at the end where the Vees act like they did anything was really ???,Vox effectively has total media control of Hell and rather than show that, they used his introductory episode to show how much of a Very Special Boy Alastor is, undermining any threat he's supposed to pose narratively

I understand the 8 episode limit must have been very suffocating, but they don't spend their time especially wisely. The last half has a bit better pacing, but so much of the primary plot threads come and go like bullet points in a checklist and feel unnatural

the color loss is kind of a huge issue, especially if there's any kind of artifacting. You can convert them in clip studio using the method described and I imagine any kind of relatively modern video editing software, but my only option currently is the former
