It’s certainly going to need some magic (mixed with blood, sweat and tears) to get it where I want it to be. Wildlife pond is a must at some point.

This is a great reminder that I need to add more flair to my alt text - rather than just functional descriptions.

It’s a Sony A7R5 with a Sigma 105mm macro lens - I bought it for underwater work. A lot of land macro folks use the OM System cameras. For me light is the most important thing so using a flash with a diffuser really helps.

Just back from south mid France - Butterflies everywhere. Came back to UK yesterday and not much at all. Although I do know someone who is at a species count of 29 so far this year

Back in my UK house (returning today) I have a pair of swallows that nest every year in my ginnel. They have already laid the first clutch (last year they raised 3 clutches).

I was chasing this one around our French village today - need to invest in a big zoom lens.

And this view is from the other side of the valley that shows the village across the ridge with the castle in the centre

And when your village looks like this - it’s straight out of a Tolkien novel
