Welcome our new baby, Seven (of Nine)! She came with the name Seven and for a house of geeks, we HAD to add the “of Nine”. Esp because we absolutely *LOVE* Seven of Nine. She’s one of our favorite characters in Star Trek! @jerilryan.bsky.social you might love this. 💙 #Caturday

Bizarre choice from the Telegraph here to describe statements from the union representing teaching and academic staff at unis and colleges as "student protest." Presumably an attempt to undercut and trivialise the solidarity shown by @ucu.org.uk

I dropped out of high school and in my late 30’s went to a community college for an AA. Even though I walked for my BA and 2 masters — Nothing could match the electricity of graduating with a class of first generation students students and hearing and seeing all the families was everything ✨🌟✨

Boycotting large chains is a privilege. Protesting is a privilege. Moving States or countries is a privilege. Prepping is a privilege. Growing your own food is a privilege. Stockpiling meds is a privilege. Far too many of the “solutions” to fascism are inaccessible to many disabled people.
