But think of all the overly dramatic fundraising emails this will get us!

Actually an original one that a friend of mine wrote! I stepped into an ensemble role, and then I ended up being Renfield too. It was a crazy, hectic, amazing experience!

Y'know, part of me always felt a little bittersweet that as good as the Coraline movie was, the tone way extremely different from the book. Now? I don't think I mind as much.

The intersection of "theatrical" and "vampire rock-ish" was literally my October and November last year ðŸ˜

He truly has the power to make every single human in the world listen to his voice, and all he can think of to say is shit that middle schoolers thought was funny in like 2006

It's such a hilariously sad combination of traits, but he is simultaneously the most absolutely desperate for attention person I've ever seen, while being entirely devoid of any charisma or sense of humor, or really any engaging or interesting qualities whatsoever.

Ok what's actually breaking me is that she thinks the govt can secretly lace their water supply with mood stabilizers, but the best cover-up they can manage for a faulty vaccine is to start fires in an attempt to induce adrenaline, in order to POSSIBLY cause the same side effect as the vax?
comment in response to
post
No, it's that she thinks that the COVID vaccine is causing some sort of widespread cardiac arrest, and the way the govt is covering it up is by setting the city of L.A. on fire in order to induce adrenaline, which can cause cardiac arrest, so that nobody notices that the COVID vax actually did it.

I dunno, Naomi, I think you pointing this out in pretty great comedy in and of itself.

To be clear, this is not something that I believe, I'm just interpreting what I think she's suggesting. This is the most batshit insane thing I've ever heard, and honestly would be a horrible plan if it WERE true!
comment in response to
post
Wait no, that second one... I don't think she's suggesting they're killing people to destroy evidence. She's saying that they've lit L.A. on fire intentionally to induce adrenaline in people, because adrenaline can cause cardiac arrest, in order to cover up the fact that COVID vax caused that???

This is so cool! But I thought they were already going to arrest him like a week ago. Did they chicken out or something?
As someone who isn't really seeing any coverage of this stateside, I appreciate your consistent updates, because you're kind of my de facto news source for this situation!

I know I've had donuts that were technically "better" but last year I waited overnight outside a new Duck Donuts that was opening in town, to be the first customer when it opened, and I think the first donut I had that morning was probably *emotionally* the best donut I've ever had.

If you ask ME, their REAL catastrophic mistake is their decision to not make games based on all of the ideas that I specifically have had!
C'mon Nintendo! Where's the game where you play as Charlie Knuckles and Mario and Samus are your best friends, and also you have a lot of money???

It feels like every generation it happens, the technology has progressed just enough for people to have even more buzzwords to describe the lack of power, and become even more annoying about it.
I swear, if I have to learn what a 4nm processor vs an 8nm processor means, I'm going to be pissed.

Actually, on reflection, I think "Lamedrian Dickman" is probably right at the perfect level where he'll be both upset about it, but also jealous that he didn't think of it.

No, I can do better than that. Give me a minute to try to think of a better one.

You're not even arguing from the same logical framework half the time. You & I could argue over what shade of blue the sky is, but we'd both agree it's blue. With them, you could be arguing that the sky is blue, but they'll say NO, fish come from the moon! And somehow act like they won.

And now any criticism she gets, she'll cry that she's being CANCELLED BY THE MEDIA AND SILENCED, on her Twitter page that 1.5 million people follow.
(btw love the Brad Neely profile pic!)

These people have been so anti-media pilled by, ironically, their own media, that they've gone fully circular to the point where they think that just because something isn't being talked about, it MUST be a conspiracy. Nothing can be not talked about just because it's not worth talking about.
comment in response to

There's something especially hilarious, as an epilogue, that after making these comments that she was SURE she would get, I dunno, fucking sniped by the government or something for? she then goes on to post the same things on her Twitter for her 1.5 million followers.

It takes Gandalf almost two weeks to catch and defeat the Balrog, and the battle kills him too. Whereas Smaug, powerful as he is, is only as unassailable as he is in The Hobbit because he's covered in solid gold armor... which, for a being essentially made out of fire, shouldn't be as big a deal.

I don't know if I even believe that they actually care about the more generalized "wokeness taking over" issue, beyond the fact that it's just an excuse for them to do the kind of shit they do. They enjoy being mad at wokeness more than they actually care about wokeness itself.

Like sure, I don't think that they'd try to argue what they're doing isn't crass or that they're going about what they're doing in the noblest way, but I think generally speaking they see themselves as "good guys" who are fighting to keep video games from "falling into the wrong hands" or whatever.
comment in response to

KF is K*wi F*rms? I'm not sure that they do think that. From what I've encountered, these people (like most reactionary groups) seem to live under the delusion that "the other side" is so woefully out of touch or misguided, or even evil themselves, that their side is justified in whatever they do.

Rowlf's one of the most underrated Muppets. Low key more emblematic of Henson as a performer than even Kermit I think. It's such a shame they've kind of floundered at finding a good role for Rowlf in the decades since Henson passed away.

Everyone has to provide justification for everything online, and it seems to go both ways. Everyone has to find (or sometimes, seemingly engineer) reasons why they're "right" for not liking something/one, and then if someone just dislikes something without "sources" then they're somehow problematic.
