Most of these schools have cash reserves & donors that would allow them to set up bursaries for families who really can’t pay the increased fees. The school I went to has £50m in cash & can count on James Dyson as a donor - and it still charges roughly 14k a term. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Have finished reading ‘Demon Copperhead’ & feel rather conflicted by it. It’s ambitious, clever & sometimes moving. But it is such a rip-off of David Copperfield in terms of plot & character. And, for me, too many false notes in the narrator’s voice. I feel bad for not loving it. #amreading #books

I think JHT’s being disingenuous when he says he could’ve fielded teams with more experience & less youth earlier in the season. All uninjured (& not banned) senior players were on the pitch most of the time. It’s more a case that he couldn’t get a tune out of that squad - & that was his job! #ncfc

I saw a collection of antique 1960s art films last night at the lovely Castle Cinema in Homerton. It was a mixed bunch - lots of pioneering playing with the medium. Ultimately tho, it reminded me of being at 1990s nerd conferences where people showed off their After Effects plugins. boxd.it/9vZGaP
