Have finished reading ‘Demon Copperhead’ & feel rather conflicted by it. It’s ambitious, clever & sometimes moving. But it is *such* a rip-off of David Copperfield in terms of plot & character. And, for me, too many false notes in the narrator’s voice. I feel bad for not loving it. #amreading #books
