A Seattle woman died from hyperthermia caused by the 2021 Pacific Northwest Heat Dome—the worst heat wave in the area in recorded history. This year, her daughter filed the first ever U.S. lawsuit directly taking on the fossil fuel industry for a climate-related death. https://trib.al/LdnjYsc

Not only do the Abundance types want a return to the DLC and Third Way policies of the 90's, but they're seemingly aiming for a return of Don't Ask Don't Tell as well. We're months away from them encouraging 2028 Dems to run on a revival of DOMA

Another dumb gross irony here is Harvey Milk served in the Navy and Donald Trump's Navy secretary didn't www.military.com/daily-news/2...

Many of our billionaires are richer than any pharaoh or king in the history of the world, while a family lifestyle that could be comfortably supported by a single income in 1980 takes two people working full-time to maintain today. https://trib.al/ntvhDjh

Oh, Joni…

Just for the record @zeeshanaleem.bsky.social, Pete Buttigieg has never been a “moderate”. 😊 He was a progressive mayor, his policies were progressive, including expansion of the Supreme Court, & he was the most pro-union & pro-consumer.Secretary we’ve ever ever had. 👇🏾 —> youtu.be/0yT7hpF654k?...

#PeteButtigieg "Pete Buttigieg is a student of the political moment. With lofty ambitions, the most famous out gay politician in the country has spent his time in recent months laying out a roadmap for how Democrats can reclaim their electoral losses and damaged reputation following a dismal..."

We're tracking emerging trends, firsts and surprises this year as statehouse Republicans brought a record-breaking number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills.

@petebuttigieg.bsky.social tears into Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” on today’s Bulwark Podcast with @timmiller.bsky.social.

This is a crime against humanity that I can’t believe anyone who has learned the lessons of the Holocaust would ever commit.

Once you start reading about within-group polarization effects in juries, you will begin to see the initial seeds of what any social media site eventually becomes. www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1...

Andry José Hernández Romero, I remember you, even if I do not know how to articulate my horror, rage, & sorrow at your treatment by my government. No one has heard from you in 72 days. As vigil, I’m posting a photo (& today a video) of you every day until you are returned from El Salvador.

After 35 years of teaching history in New Hampshire, John Dube left the state he called home—driven out by threats and censorship under a law that bans the teaching of “divisive concepts” in schools. He refused to stop teaching the truth. Now he’s starting over in Vermont.

Bernie on Flagrant talking about how the primaries were rigged again 🙄 just refusing to accept that he lost and was always going to lose because he couldn't win the Black vote

Here’s my latest column, about Pete Buttigieg visiting Iowa: www.stormlake.com/stories/they...?

This May Maine finally banned child marriage! Now, child marriage is legal in “only” 36 states. It’s an American epidemic worse than most realize, with 300K+ child marriages since 2000😳 Here are the horrifying facts & how we can ban it nationwide: www.qasimrashid.com/p/the-usa-ha...

Trump and Duffy need to stop whining and do their jobs. For the record: Secretary Buttigieg hired thousands of air traffic controllers and asked Congress to fund 2,000 more in 2025. During Trump's first term, the number of air traffic controllers decreased EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Thanks for having me, @podsaveamerica.crooked.com

100 days into this presidency, Americans are paying the price - higher prices, crashing retirement accounts, and broken promises. But the American people are turning, thanks to your voices. Keep it up. It's up to us to demand something better.

Over the past several months, I’ve spent many hours in conversations with people who have experienced firsthand a flip from democracy to dictatorship.🧵

What an incredibly sophisticated yet simple and intelligent conversation between @jonfavs.bsky.social, @jonlovett.bsky.social, and @mcbride.house.gov. youtube.com/watch?v=dUp0...

Atlas poll of voters this month — shows Dinos and fossils are on the ropes. Of Democrats polled on 2028, Pete Buttigieg eclipses Harris at the top of the pack with AOC in a strong third. 2028 is gearing up to be the age of the millennial.

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

I’m going to pull my teeth out if the left tears itself apart over whether Pete or AOC would be a better candidate while Trump dismantles every single check on his power. Let’s have the debate while deep down adoring both of them as insanely smart, principled politicians that we are lucky to have.

“EXCLUSIVE: Buttigieg, Booker, and AOC Lead 2028 Democratic Primary Field Without Harris in the Race” New more precise polling from Zeteo and DFP shows no candidate holds a dominant lead – a contrast with other surveys that have shown Harris ahead. @aoc.bsky.social is ahead of Newsom & Shapiro:

Listen to Jon Stewart and Pete Buttigieg try to make sense of the Trump admin 🤔

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously. Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

They’re not going to get out of this by playing semantics. Sending detailed information about an upcoming military strike on unclassified channels (and even to the wrong guy) is wrong, reckless, and obviously a threat to American troops.

They are breaking Social Security, because they do not like Social Security.

I'm Kat Abughazaleh and I'm running for Congress.

From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.

I haven't ever really spoken about this to anyone, but when I was litigating the so-called "comfort women" case, I went to the National Archives to obtain and read the testimonies of women and girls who were held in sex slave camps by the Japanese military following their release. 1/
