What could it possibly be?

Bonus triage episode!

I think I might release some of my Game In A Day sources for GameMaker, could be useful for some folk to start a game with - though they aren't exactly wonderful coding examples. 😂 www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFD7...

I had to amend my review video of this microscope after discovering a serious safety problem with the ring light. Please watch of you have ordered one of these or already own one.

Well this looks might interesting! 😜

Im in an awkward position. The microscope I recently reviewed was supplied with a dangerous mains powered ring light. I have taken the video down as I didnt investigate the light in the video, and emailed the company asking what they want to do about this. I will have to make an update video 1/

Podcast time! This week I have More Fun talking to @davevelociraptor.bsky.social from This Week In Retro. This is episode 10 and Dave has promised to come back for the next milestone 100th episode to see if our predictions come true.

#PicoGUS can now emulate both a CDROM drive and Sound Blaster in parallel, smoothly playing both CD audio and SB sound effects simultaneously. Still a lot of polish to do before a new firmware release but I'm excited!! This is MechWarrior 2 with bin/cue stored on a USB stick plugged into the PicoGUS

A C64 full of vintage dirt that needs repairing! I also get lost in my workshop for a while. Send help.

I didn't like that the ring light which was supplied with my microscope was mains powered, so I took it apart. I'm glad I did! Crossing the mains neutral over the low voltage side to a tiny switch is very dodgy. I can't use this like this, it's not safe

Highlights of my day so far. 1. Being told in a comment I am Bob Mortimers doppelganger 2. Opening a C64 and seeing carnage inside 3. Being kicked off the Commodore Amiga FB group for telling an admin his vile comment was a bad thing

Lee from More Fun Making It has released a review video on our #Multisystem2 It's a great overview with thoughts and feedback for new users. Multisystem2 was designed and made for everyone to enjoy, so if you are new to #MiSTerFPGA like Lee, then please do check it out if you may want to order one.

Can this be the next big thing in retro gaming? Is FPGA now at the point where all the rest of us can get involved? Am I any good at Joust? Watch the video to find out! #MiSTerFPGA #MultiSystem2

In the video I release today (in just over 2 hours) I get to share the first independent look at a brand new games console. Yup! Me! I don't believe it either! But it's actually true and I'm really excited to share the video with everyone.

I managed to upload 39 minutes of silence to Spotify, so this weeks episode audio version might not be as exciting as the video version. I have fixed it but I have no idea how long that will take to propagate. It will need to make its way to Apple too. Let me know if you have problems listening!

It doesn't get much more worthy than this. Dean is a pillar of the retro community and I will be supporting this important cause. Good luck mate!

I recently had a chat with @morefunmakingit.bsky.social about retro computer stuff for his new podcast. You can watch it below 🙂

Podcast time The wonderful and super clever @linuxjedi.co.uk joined me for a chat.

Here is this weeks Fixing It episode! This machine is a bit of a star on my channel. It featured in the exploding cap video and has had its keyboard repaired in a secret video. I will soon release a case repair video with this same machine!

Read this thread. All of it. To the end. Why are you still here? You want to know why you should read this thread? Ok. Because JamHamster is a genius and does things NOBODY else would even consider trying. Your mind will be blown.

#MicroMay Day 7 The BBC Master Compact, a (as the name suggests) cut down version of its older brother. To reduce costs it is missing the rom slots, Tube, 1Mhz bus, RF, Cassette ports and user port. But did come with a monitor and floppy disk drive. I only have the base unit
