In this paper, we used remote sensing analyses to detect linear features indicative of 'land claiming' that precede #deforestation and to assess when they emerged --> key result: large areas of the Chaco have been claimed, highlighting where future deforestation frontiers will emerge

Such important work! Just got a paper accepted showing dry-season grazing by little ones (sheep or goats) boosts native plant richness and abundance. We didn’t measure fuel load but saw big (qualitative) reductions in duff.

This is so well done! I learned a lot and am impressed by how many landfill features have been put in place to improve safety.
