Today's Undercutters podcast covers what a difference six races makes in #F1: these pie charts show the probability (derived from betting odds) of the title for Norris, Piastri, Verstappen, and Leclerc. One is pre-season, the other is a quarter of the way into 2025.

Undercutters Ep20 looks ahead to the #ImolaGP: Podbean: undercutters.podbean.com/e/f1-2025-im... Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f... Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/1vqD... Amazon: music.amazon.com/podcasts/bcf... Transcript: morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/05/f1-2...

Been working on the next #F1 podcast ( #ImolaGP preview up on Tuesday, as usual). Got a couple of pie charts I'll post with the transcript and here. Whose probability (based on betting odds) of winning the title went from 20% pre-season to just 1.5% now?

I tend to draft the Undercutters #F1 podcast a little ahead of time when possible. Already the news section is getting on for 1,000 words or more, mostly about Alpine's shenanigans.

Well, there's going to be no shortage of stuff covered in the next Undercutters #F1 news section. As well as Oakes and Doohan out at Alpine, Colapinto in, now there's chatter about Sainz Senior standing against MBS. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formul...

My gast is not flabbered by this news.

Oakes is out as team principal at Alpine, with Briatore taking over his duties. Got to say, I'm not a fan of Briatore's return. He was banned for a very good reason. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formul...

It's fair to say my #MiamiGP predictions were not exactly fantastic. Must've been having a tea break when I should've been concentrating on them.

Interesting to compare the top teams/drivers graphs. The team have stayed in the same order through the #F1 2025 season to date, whereas the drivers have been much tighter. Piastri's moved from last to 1st, but Nor always ahead of Ver, who is always ahead of Rus.

Undercutters Ep19 covers the #MiamiGP, which was surprisingly good: Podbean: undercutters.podbean.com/e/f1-2025-mi... Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f... Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/5A2V... Amazon: music.amazon.com/podcasts/bcf... Transcript: morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/05/f1-2...

After I rag on the #MiamiGP circuit it gives us an entertaining sprint *and* a pretty good race. Working on the podcast, will be up on Tuesday, as usual.

Weather forecast changing (seeming to improve) makes the #MiamiGP tough to call. Hoping it'll be eventful. morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/05/miam...

With #F1 calendar pressure due to two dozen races a year and Spa being reduced to alternating appearances, this is less than thrilling #MiamiGP news.

Was tempted by Sainz to beat Albon in qualifying but feel the odds are a little too short given the chances of traffic, error, or Albon putting in a great performance. morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/05/miam...

Tend not to comment on liveries, but my word this Miami 'special' really beat Ferrari with the ugly stick: www.formula1.com/en/latest/ar...

Predictions for the #MiamiGP. Will Norris be put in the shade by Piastri and Verstappen, or bounce back where he scored his first win last year?

Started drafting bits of the next podcast. The wibbling over new engine regulations will become a recurrent story, I think. Hard to see the engine chaps who seem to be ahead giving up an advantage, though. #F1

Although the order's shuffled, the four chaps vying for the F1 2025 title have all stayed in close contention over the first five races. I'd be surprised if it stays that tight throughout, but we'll see.

#SaudiArabianGP review is now up: Podbean: undercutters.podbean.com/e/f1-2025-sa... Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f... Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/1xxx... Amazon: music.amazon.com/podcasts/bcf... Transcript: morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/f1-2...

Fun little fact, Saudi Arabia was also the race in 2024 when Piastri passed Norris in the standings, with 16 points to Norris' 12. Mind you, that was just the second race of the season.

Just under half right for the #SaudiArabianGP prediction. Did call Piastri winning (but not from pole) correct, plus the midfield points for Sainz and Hadjar.

Backed Russell to win each way (top 2) at 12 (boosted price). Start of the race, with three men all vying to pass Norris in the title standings, will be rather good. morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/saud...

No bet, but a quick rundown of practice ahead of the qualifying in Saudi Arabia: morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/saud...

Big question for 2025 is whether Verstappen or Russell can challenge the McLarens, and how the flexi-wing ban (coming in June) will affect the running order.

Undercutters Ep16 reviews the #BahrainGP: Podbean: undercutters.podbean.com/e/f1-2025-ba... Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f... Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/6SNz... Amazon: music.amazon.com/podcasts/bcf... Transcript: morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/f1-2...

Great #BahrainGP. Next podcast (out on Tuesday, as usual) will probably be on the longer side. Favourite for the title might well be Piastri. Good midfield battle between Williams and Haas too.

After much consideration, I'm backing Norris each way to win in Bahrain at 6.5. The alternative was Russell, at 9. I reckon Piastri's got this easily but there could be a good battle for the rest of the podium. morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/bahr...

Very hard to see anyone but McLaren on the front row in Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying. However, Russell and Verstappen both achieved that in recent races, so you never know. morrisf1.blogspot.com/2025/04/bahr...

Early test for the Draconian attempt at censorship. Not to mention, the initial fine was nuts. Sainz had a medical issue. What was he supposed to do?
