Had to come out to the DMV and wait without an appointment because my driver's license renewal could not be completed online despite already having a Real ID. Appointments were not available for weeks.

LMAO decided to take the toll road home to save 4 minutes but we've lost them waiting for the only toll lane to be used by someone paying with coins. Its been an interesting travel day

As we boarded the second plane, Brandon realized he had left his iPad on the original bird. He let our FA know who then asked a ground crewperson if they could get it. Find My showed it was still on the plane so they were able to grab it and bring it over. That was a lucky recovery.

We ended up having to deplane and our flight delayed as they checked the plane for the lightning strike. Got to have tacos inside the terminal and I added a new airport to the list. NLU only opened a few years ago.

As we were making our approach into the Valle de México to land at NLU, a lightning struck our A321 on the front, left side. It was just a big flash of light and a pretty loud bang. Our FA walked around and told everyone it was ok and although rare it can happen. simpleflying.com/aircraft-lig...

Our flight on Viva today is another A321 doing a quick stop in NLU before continuing to TIJ. We don't even get off the plane on the layover. We have a female first officer and a gay lead FA wearing a rainbow pin ❤️🌈
