"But what will Gestapo III think of me? "

He can. He's incredibly talented. He just puts too much of that talent toward playing in a way I can't stand. Watching him for an entire series where he hooks his defender, initiates contact, flails, and gets fouls called just isn't enjoyable basketball to me.

I find Shai's style of basketball is often borderline unwatchable, but I have nothing against Indiana.

Ah, yes. Ketamine. Famous for getting you out of holes.

Oh no. Your guy might've also been my guy. Do I also need a new guy?

I think it's bad that you don't even get to play the game in the final few minutes - that gaming the game is a winning strategy. I don't know that this is the right solution though.

Almost winning a game that we tried to throw away with turnovers and got crushed on the boards feels good though, right? Like, it kinda felt like we should've lost by 40 at times. If this happened in game 1, I'd feel kinda good about it. Seems correctable. Just also seems too late.

Too upright. Needs more flailing.

Fair. I didn't love the sun either. Struggled through hiding behind the posts on the patio.

I do an online game night with some guy friends. We close every week with a call and response of "I love you guys" / "Love you too" and its absolutely sincere, but we also still have to make it sound kinda weird and tinged with irony lest we come across as actually caring about each other.

Well deserved

Yeah, and she brought it up in a complimentary way.

Is this real? I always assumed a womprat was roughly opossum sized. Imagine my disappointment in hearing "targeting womprats" was basically "hitting the broad side of a barb"

I don't love that this is the same weekend as Art-a-Whirl. I've already got a full schedule.

I think it would be good actually if Antonio Brown didn't get to own guns.

General Soreness must've gotten demoted to Cap'n.

I heard a lot of people saying Draymond sucks though. Like, I'm sure he's probably a kind and decent person or whatever, but - as a player - he's kinda a dick.
comment in response to post
Was wondering about this too. He doesn't seem right.

I too know he has a family because I watched them mumble some things about him last weekend. I don't blame the kids. Probably wasn't their idea. I just hope they weren't too stressed about lying about where they actually live.

Me too. I came early too, is what I'm saying. Because she did the clever thing and the bold thing, and I so very much appreciated it.

Listen, I believe in ideas. The good ones. The ones people support. If you like a thing, I do too. But the bad ideas though. Those are bad.

I was way more on board with bearded Dan Engelhart, but I'll take cleanshaven if it's all I can get.

SOS seems very clear about this. Where you "consider home" is residence. The voter decides. Rich that this is coming from the part of the DFL that's also backing candidates with no history of living in the wards where they're running
comment in response to post
Well, this is different than what I normally get when I google "dick tips removal".
comment in response to post
That could be. I sometimes wonder, do people, individually, move right, or is it a reflection of the people who still exist and have the capacity to engage politically after a certain point in their lives?

Stellar (post), Chris

Yeah, there are definitely degrees of "safe", but the further you can get from windows and the further underground you can get, the better, generally. Underground walls are more supported (by earth) than above ground, and window glass anywhere can create an additional danger.

I did like a "slap the leg a couple times out of a sense of obligation" thing. Even then I was worried it might be overboard.

As a (very) elder millennial, same.
comment in response to post
Absolutely, yes. "Dominant response", maybe?
comment in response to post
Yes, and I feel like the cultural response was mostly "treat this with annoyance and apathy, not activism".

He definitely seems aware that there's likely not an endorsement coming, but I also think there were voters there he could've won over, and people likely to pass his message along. And it's disappointing - I've liked what I've heard from him so far.

He had a good line or two, and I don't hate the Lebowski sweaters, but if that's all they have going for them I don't imagine them winning in this ward anytime soon.
comment in response to post
True. I don't think "do what they would do" is the move. It's "do what's right, then make a case for why it's right." Impeachment is right, and the case for it is easy.

Are "boat drinks" drinks you would drink on a boat, or drinks that come in some sort of boat-shaped vessel?
comment in response to post
Agreed. The argument for impeachment is that *he has done things that a president cannot do without being impeached*. Declining to impeach amounts to conceding that the constitution no longer matters. Personally, I think it's good to make the case that it does, regardless of who agrees.

Gotta make some shots. Probably got in their heads a bit about some calls, but ultimately they just missed shots they made the other night. At the rim, sure, but open 3s too.
