I commend @crimethinc.com for updating the post and an apology, but this should never have happened.
Institute better guardrails and training so that anyone posting to your site ensures sources are contacted prior to posting and credit is properly given.

all of those volunteers, most of whom are dem socialists, were at conventions all day yesterday too (wards 9, 10, 11). these are the folks actually doing the organizing and community building in the DFL.

This is going pretty smoothly! Conventions CAN go well with interpreters and strong chairing

1st Ave North is also up for reconstruction in the next few years from Washington to 8th. Early designs coming soon for comment in June, so definitely put in your thoughts and vision!

I was thinking highway crossings anywhere around there as I live further north and it's the Hiawatha Trail endpoint. This closure makes the impact to the ped network even worse!
I see people walking the shoulder on Franklin, so I'm guessing we'll see the same on Cedar. Thanks for highlight this!

This is really frustrating. Did you notice if there's detour signage (yet)?
Nearest pedestrian crossings are now the 24th St bridge over 55 and Samatar Crossing in Cedar Riverside, I think?

I so appreciate this type of coverage for local politics and government!

Thank you for spending time in these types of meetings! It's good to know what's happening within the local party, but hard to keep up with it

Ward 6 data seems to be out as I was contacted by a candidate via email today.
Convention is Sunday, June 1st

This is a tough session to see the fights between worthy programs with a much-smaller pot of money this time around. I'm glad NLX is keeping enough money to secure and fund the federal match, but question what's being cut here.
Once the grant is awarded it's pressure to fully re-fund it then too

I've been noticing MnDOT seems to have approved detour plans, including signs, but then the contractors don't fully implement the plan and no one seems to check for bike/ped things. I pushed on it with the 94 bridge project and it slightly improved

I was meh on Lakes and Legends. Bruhaven is doing such a good job making this more than just a brewery in the space!
Glad to meet up there anytime. (Also convenient since my bf lives nearby)

This would also help take pressure off conveners at the caucus as it's already a hard job to keep track of everything!
Expectations with campaigns about why they can't get info at caucus night AND when delegate info will be available to them would help.
Safe at Home is hugely important!

I really appreciated Cashman clearly stating how she supports labor and didn’t just say ‘another level of government will do that’ for questions on preventing homelessness or protecting reproductive rights

It helps to evaluate candidates when they don’t know the difference but also ouch

I won't pile on with additional stories, but even today I had a bad encounter while out on a run downtown. It's constant.
Walking should be a safe and pleasant way to get around our city

The grant is federal but through the Highway Safety Improvement Program, which hasn't had any rumblings of an issue.
Construction is happening this year. Temp poles are up at some spots. Found the layouts (which have had a couple tweaks) that has more detail. lims.minneapolismn.gov/download/Age...

The Bicycle Advisory Committee wrote a resolution on summer bike detours. We cited this one in particular as the detour on paper looks good but the signage is missing in several spots from what I saw Tuesday. I encourage people to reach out to the MnDOT project team this wasn’t done correctly

Doing what I can to give accurate information on who is the right person to talk to (or blame) for implementation. Works whether it's intentional of not on the administration side
comment in response to
post
That was exactly it. The CM did what we asked them to for funding. Now it's on implementation by the admin!
(Fine to ask if they know anything and nudge things, but ultimately it's not the CM's role to implement a program. That framing matters)
comment in response to

Our neighborhood org staff was going to reach out to the CM about implementation of a program that our CM got funded. I told them that isn't who they should be talking to and redirected to the department and administration on that. I get that the CM is available, but it's not the person with sway!

6-2: Convener understood gender parity included NB, but a NB person was put on the slate for a delegate seat automatically, while the women had heavy competition for 2 seats and 2 men had little competition.
And the convener misgendered the NB delegate repeatedly despite reminders.

Our convener understood the rule, but then misgendered the nonbinary delegate repeatedly. Training is definitely needed on this one

I get making some factual mistakes on city programs and policies, but this is a pretty big one. The workgroup is listed as 'Dissolved' for the status in LIMS, so this isn't something hidden.
I know one member moved out of state well over a year ago.
