For wildflowers and high alpine scenery, areas around Crested Butte are amazing. For unique high desert scenes, Hartman Rocks near Gunnison is really nice. Its 4.5 hour drive from Denver though or 30 min flight

Thank you 😊

I absolutely have noticed, especially the last month or two. Beautiful shot by the way)

Wow. Love this detail!

That's a really good point. I like that too. I need to do a better job posting 'stop & think' photos here and there. I tend to get stuck in a pattern of posting full body, half body, and portrait pics...overlooking detail shots that can be interesting too. Thanks for your input!

Probably more luck than anything else) It’s nice to know the gear can take some abuse. I definitely don’t baby it

Thanks Danny. Something different 🙊

Regarding your other comment: Yes! Collaborative models I really like working with. They go all in and definitely have skin in the game. Avery is one of my favorites to work with 🥰

When the sun came out behind the clouds I made the stupid decision to get in front of the rock between wave sets, turning my back on what was coming in. I just remember my head being underwater and holding my arm with the camera up toward the sky. I thought for sure it would be toasted.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it 🙏

Thank you! Upper Soča River Valley...add it to your list)

Light, texture, toning all wonderfully compliment your model and scene here 🙌

Heels in nature I never choose, but Avery had an idea for this scene and insisted) Trying to look composed and comfortable on that lava rock was the hardest part, plus the shore break was big from the storm surge. At one point I got knocked down & pulled under. The camera survived. It was chaos!

If photography is your primary income and maintaining visibility & engagement on social networks is necessary for your business, even if you despise those networks they still serve your business interests, right? If not, then dump them, or keep them around but spend zero time in that wasteland

Thanks I appreciate that 🙏

Right. In this scene, lots to think about in the field and after. The camera processes things way different than your eye in that moment. I personally love strong background colors, but there's no way to get that without losing the model in the shadows, so as always, the model wins the battle)

I love this shot too, by the way...it's also one of the toughest to pull off. You did a really nice job with it Aaron

Since the background requires a different exposure than the foreground, for obvious reasons, I think the bw version is better. With the model in the shade and the butte in the sun, you have to emphasize one or the other, unless you use a low level flash to balance out the scene.

Thanks, that’s much appreciated ☺️

Definitely. It's a fascinating place though

Everyone's a critic...and some still have issues accepting shaved models. It's a preference thing, but it shouldn't go further than that. Same with open legs. There are a lot of hangups about what are acceptable forms of nudity & what aren't, especially in the art world. We're used to that 😈

Haha I'm glad we made that connection ✨

Happy to see a color shot from these Sedona series. I love the way the rock wall wraps around the models and the soft green edges. Beautiful.

Absolutely agree Rick. Open poses are natural, artful, and allow more freedom, as you have shown here. Nude art world can be a bit too provincial and predictable about what are ‘acceptable’ poses. I like the totality of your approach 🙏
