I trust Aaron Rodgers saying "you won't see me" as much as I trusted Trump saying he would retire and leave politics after the 2020 election

Honestly I'm shocked ICE didn't deport her anyway and turn her children over to the foster system. That would be the Stephen Miller thing to do.

What I'd prefer honestly, is legislation and funding for robust mental health infastructure so that we don't have to force people to go to crappy mental health facilities against their will

All I'm saying is the issues are more complex than your hot 180 character take of "punish the nurses and the doctors" might suggest

People who never deal with this shit have no idea what its like. He's blaming medical professionals for the broken system

I would love to live in your ideal world, what a nice place it sounds like

Again, you've never worked in an ER, so its really easy for you to sit back and proclaim how things should work for physicians and nurses dealing with this shit

That's a nice opinion, but it won't protect physicians in court when the patient they send out ends up killing themselves

So yea, if the patient is on a hold, and are refusing to go to the only place with a spot, that sucks, there aren't any other options. Sounds like you've never worked in an ER with hundreds in the waiting room and a constant barage of medically unstable patients parading in

First of all, the TDO isn't issued by nurses, so blaming them is bullshit. 2nd, ER docs, as much as they would like to, can't let patient's with psych issues wait for their preferred hospital or treatment facility.

The doctors and nurses aren't the bad guys in this situation

It's exactly what Stephen Miller wants. Ultimately, his crusade against illegal immigrants is about decreasing the amount of brown babies born in the US, so a stillborn is a win for him. He's a monster.

Roger Marshall has no fucking clue about present day medical education costs and if this becomes law medicine will be decimated as a profession. You can't work you way through medical school

Goddammit senator, the time to do that was when you helped pass that big fat crypto corruption bill last week, not now with a bill no one will pay attention to or even consider a vote on. Get your shit together or resign.

Nothing can overcome the government's antivax actions when they ultimately hold the regulatory and approval power. Can't get a vax if it doesn't get approved no matter what an independent panel recs. I'm afraid myself, my colleagues and my patients won't have an updated covid/flu vax this fall.

Honestly if we have to send soldiers, it should be made up of a draft consisting entirely of tech executives. I want to see Zuckerburg's ass on the front line

Look at all those happy white people. They love doing a xenophobia, really turns them on. Until they can't find a gardener, pool guy, house cleaner, etc. and their undocumented church friends who weren't possibly going to be considered one of the "criminal ones" are taken

I love it! The clean energy revolution is finally here, and the Trump administration is going to be hard pressed to stop it when it is the economical solution to generating power

Until the right wing propaganda machine kicked into high gear, then after a week or so he stopped wearing the mask and started spouting how COVID was no big deal, no worse than the common cold. 2/

When COVID first hit I was working as a medical assistant in an office with a crackpot right wing nurse practitioner. He had Type I diabetes, was a prepper who kept a frozen supply of his own insulin, and initially took COVID extremely seriously given his health risks 1/

Risk tolerance is pretty low for masked guys with itchy trigger fingers, so I'd probably comply and follow the shut the fuck up playbook. I'm sure they would see me trying to get away as an excuse to kill me

If they told him to step out of the car and tried arresting him would he have to have complied legally? Even if they are in an unmarked car covering their faces ?

US citizens were always going to get caught up in this machine. They are trying to find, what, 20 million undocumented immigrants when there are really only 11 million or so. It was always going to turn into a hunt for the other, for brown and black folks who seem "illegal"

Is FSD even FSD? Did they get approval to run them without drivers behind the wheels? That's super sketchy if so, I would not want them in my city
