Even then galvanic corrosion can be a major issue
comment in response to post
nope nope nope, steel and aluminum is a recipe for corrosion - it is basically inherently unsafe for structural items Mixing the two requires some thoughtful work at the interface to manage galvanic corrosion. Just pick one or the other is usually the best advice.

Yeah - to be fair it did work very well as a modern house. I think the thing that was toughest was some of the woods/materials used in the house are just NLA, and you had to kind of vamp on doing a repair that does the house justice - and it always felt kinda dirty??

1960s skyscraper construction ideas in an 1840s Cape. Beams running in to a central fireplace stack from a huge hardwood outer beam with super lightweight floors - pretty much open plan. Studs were 24" on center, chestnut sheathing. Just absolutely nuts. Very cool house, but it gave me headaches.

yeah this one was an ca. 1840 architect's personal house and everytime I got into something I thought of this from Ghostbusters

I wonder if they'd do an 80-month financing on the building.... Seriously, if the sale breaks 9 figures I'll be shocked. It's maybe half leased right now??? Insane. It's cool building, direct connection to Grand Central/subway, seems ace. Someone will flip it for a billion $ profit soon.

don't translate too hard, Italian speakers will quickly figure out this album has more innuendo than most Electric Six albums, but it goes like crazy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg9g...
