I'm amazed at how many of my fellow staff members don't have a clue how to use spreadsheets.

Similar experience for me.

Good for practice, not instruction. Students seem to like the site for practice and it's reasonably priced/free. Not necessarily an instructional tool.

Consistent user of Desmos Classroom, @desmos.com , and Delta Math. I would recommend all for different uses to support users. I use Graspable Math a couple times a year as well as Mathigon Polypad, they are more unique use cases.

I see that too. In 2025 education in general needs to be deliberate about HW and what we grade. I see a lot of copying others work and using AI in other classes . So why are we giving that work???
comment in response to post
I think the question is about giving HW/practice, it's an whether we grade it and why. Many teachers I know grade it because of tradition and compliance, 2 bad reasons in my opinion.

Part of the @amplifyeducation.bsky.social Desmos Math program is that it's self checking and I can take a quick glimpse as a teacher in individual or class performance.

I stopped grading HW and calling it that over 5 years ago. I relate mathematics to playing an instrument or a sport. If you want to get better, you have to practice. I don't grade it, and usually it is self checking.

I am sort of intrigued by what you may be doing and how you were going to apply Desmos.

Curious how these new features could be used to walk through some of this year's AP Statistics questions? Check out this tutorial video from @boblochel.bsky.social: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnCT...

I think the original trend was to be an observe me sign on your door to welcome visitors. What I liked was the idea of teachers going to different schools too to watch other teachers.
