Some Senior VP at Target: Sir we thought The Blacks (TM) would let this go and come back but they haven't come back. They haven't come back sir! CFO: The line must go up, but it keeps going down! CEO, wearily removing glasses: It's time SVP: Sir, you don't mean-- CEO: Get me Al Sharpton

@kevinpowell.co question for you if you see this! been watching your vids for a long time! in the past few vids i’ve seen you mention custom attrs and even code with them over data- attrs. where do you stand on custom vs data- these days? should we always use data-, are custom ones ok etc?

Friday marked my last day at GitHub. I spent almost 8 years building one of my most favourite websites. It was truly a pleasure working on it, but I could feel my interest waning, not least due to React & the push for AI. Today I start at my new job... with totally renewed excitement!

Pretty crazy how many people, even in the comments here, still get this wrong. This is like web dev 101 imo

@t3.gg thanks for showing my tweet about tailwind in your new vid disagreeing about tailwind being a default haha. more than happy to be the voice of dissent against the popular libraries claiming they are the defaults. the web has no defaults :)

reddit is calling Pete Hegseth a DUI hire and I won’t call him anything else anymore lol

do we have an intent to ship text-box-trim for firefox/edge? does anyone know?

just doing my part to share this video i found: www.reddit.com/r/johnoliver...

with all the amazing advancements in css, can we still not style the background color of an input when it’s autofilled? @kevinpowell.co @una.im

You cannot determine whether you saved or cost money based solely on one side of the ledger. Example: I saved my household $2K by not paying the mortgage.

My god... @aresluna.org's posts are exquisitely written, but if you're a web developer, you *need* to pry open the hood on this and just wonder at the beauty of this page.

Working on the next version of my UI web component library: lightweight, accessible, fast. No bloat. No magic. coaxial.dev

I have feelings about AI & the web & my experience being trans "in tech" in 2025 - so I screamed some thoughts onto my personal web log. I hope for all of us a more queer & humane future. Keep building communities & dreaming better paths. https://www.miriamsuzanne.com/2025/02/12/tech-ai-wtf/

That @miriam.codes shared why being “in tech” in 2025 is depressing, and if we’re going to stick around, we need to remember why we’re here. This all resonates with me so much and I want to basically quote the whole article. Worth your time: www.miriamsuzanne.com/2025/02/12/t...

so this is how america dies… with members of congress politely asking to be let into a building guarded by a dude in a brown shirt

too lazy? watch.

this is their plan: youtu.be/5RpPTRcz1no?...

We’ve landed urlpattern to node.js! 3 year old GitHub issue for requesting this is now closed. @lemire.bsky.social github.com/nodejs/node/...
