Trump's own nephew says he said disabled people should just die. When someone tells you who they are, believe them.

Yeah, an exuberant Nazi. Autism, being drunk, Ambien, etc, do not make you say or do racist things. They might lower ability to hide racism a bit. Autistic adults who aren't cognitively impaired know what a Nazi salute looks like, suggesting otherwise is infantilising and ignorant.

Not to mention, "fix your hearts or die."

Can't read the article bc paywall, but no way. DL operated on another plane and wasn't big on politics, but hadn't voted conservative since Reagan, and saw Trump for the threat he was. Watched The Art Life yesterday, he expressed disdain for racists twice in it.

Lol, and now there's another egg shortage due to bird flu, so that's not happening even more than it was already not happening.

Cute! I love the Creme Shop wipes and other Sanrio skincare products they do!

Why does this look like Darrell Hammond as Trump? π

Because your engagement here started so respectfully and in such good faith? Because calling a woman "Karen" isn't condescending? You're a real troll, and about to be real blocked.

Well, you only said something misogynistic, but I'm sure if you keep talking the rest will come out, they tend to go together like peas and carrots. βΊοΈ

Directly responding to your joke of a claim that it's "freaking everyone out." We're well aware of what a joke it is, did you have trouble understanding my words or miss the laughter emoji? I'm just not sure you're in on it. But nice misogyny, Elon and Daddy Trump will be proud. π

It's not freaking anyone out π, it's just ridiculous, weird fetishization of a man who looks nothing like this, and not remotely in the realm of reality. π€·πΌββοΈ

Yes, I love her, but people are going to suffer and die. It seems there's little the average citizen can do. We could with unity, but...here we are, and honestly we needed to do it before Nov. Now there's nothing to stop the oligarchy from having its way for 4 yrs, and all won't be reversible.

Yes, it was v relatable and helpful for me. Also in my 40s and figuring it out, despite a lifelong special interest and major in psychology. ππ€·πΌββοΈ Bc of ABA and poor understanding even still, I think it's just as well I slipped by undiagnosed as a child. Still had trauma/abuse and learned to mask tho.

I'd just add that it would be ideal to consult actually autistic adults for the sensitivity reading vs allistic "experts" or parents of autistic children who unfortunately often come from a place of ableism. Highly recommend checking out the work of Dr. Devon Price, an autistic psychologist.

Yeah, I can have a hard time knowing if teasing is meant to be mean or not, and probably give the benefit of the doubt too often, or conversely am sometimes overly sensitive. The school bully we hated was more obviously intentionally mean though.

Somehow it always works on enough of the population, and they've refined their tactics now, thanks to the whole professional disinformation propaganda machine they've built to exploit human nature more efficiently than ever.

I frustrated bullies by not caring about their approval or conformity, but had a little boy best friend in 1st grade, and we'd plot against the biggest bully we knew all the time, it was like a social justice hyperfixation. Bet anything he was autistic too, he was "gifted" and placed a year ahead.

I removed my like after reading the article. For profit healthcare is evil, but so is ABA. You also don't say "severe autism," it's a spectrum with different levels of support needs, an ignorant article. π

Yeah, we probably give them too much benefit of the doubt. They weren't just willing to overlook those things, they were the primary appeal. "I had to vote for my wallet" is what they say when they don't want to admit it. Not that people aren't struggling and deceived, but it's sadly deeper.
