I think this only works if you are able to infer that the diagram is to scale. Without that, it's just guesswork.

Is the suggestion that because race of subject was not recorded, it's difficult to report nationally on the ethnic breakdown of grooming and child abuse?
I would think that's a separate issue to the suggestion that to avoid allegations of racism, some crimes were not investigated properly.

I'm a little conflicted on the idea that all archaeology should be left undisturbed until an archaeologist decides to dig it. If there's nothing to prompt a dig, surely finding stuff through metal detection can give archaeologists a clue that something is there?
