Oh my…
Looked into a lighter then air rating years ago. They really can be unforgiving for various reasons although every form of maned flight has its own acceptable risks.
Seems commercial balloon ops could/should have a suitable ballistic chute?

Oh my… that would seem so cool until it’s not.

This is going to slam west ak… I deal with a few air taxis who fly bypass but haven’t had a chance to ask for their take.
The small village groceries get their goods via bypass, some comes via summer barge.
