Arsenal want him, Perez will sell. Rodrygo and Alonso hold the cards. I am afraid we’re not getting any Real players with Alonso there. If Arteta wants him then Alonso will want him as well. Also Rodrygo strikes me as a ”beta” he won’t push for a move and will prob cry if he have to leave.

Alonso joining Real Madrid will be an issue for us in the short/medium term. Any player that suits us, also suits them as long as he is there. I have never ever counted Zubi as done esp after the sacking of Carlo. Being ”classy” in an dirty industry is a bit naive. Forget July, send the jet now.

"The plucky underdogs punching above their weight". They still got Joao Felix and Sterling on their books on huge wages. They signed Felix for £45m pounds last summer and gave him a 7 year contract, while also paying a loan fee for Sancho then paying a fee to get rid of him this summer. Mad club..

Yes, a very good deal from all angels. We'll sell Karl Hein for double the fee. The only people that are mad is those who think we bailed out Chelsea somehow. But in this case, Kepa would have had a million options to chose from with that release clause.

It’s a no-brainer. A back-up keeper for 5m. Good luck finding any one of that quality for that sum. Only people butt hurt by this is Arsenal fans that consume football based on banter and online fan culture.

No brainer. Karl Hein being sold will pay for the Kepa outlay. Good luck finding a better back-up keeper for this fee anywhere else. We were so lucky last year with Raya being fit all season. Both Alisson and Ederson had big spells out last couple of seasons.

Arsenal are run by a bunch of lawyers. Garlic, Tim Lewis et al are all lawyers. Fuck what the manager thinks, he didn't get his way when it came to getting attackers in Jan so telling him to F-Off when it comes to Partey should not be an issue. Surely something does not add up here.
comment in response to

No chance an experienced lawyer like Tim Lewis is signing this off, without doing the right due dillegence. Arsenal are very, very aware of their brand reputation (classy and all that) to take risks like this. It just doesn't add up. I wonder what information they have about this situation.

Thank god we have the biggest CB talent in the world. Calafiori is by far Arsenals most exciting player on and off the ball.

Agree bro, esp when we have zero control over it whatsoever. With that said, taking notes regarding us chasing the same targets since last summer and still somewhat coming across undecided to pull the trigger. I’ll park that and revisit after the window shuts.

Sounds like it. United finally being smart recruiting within the league. Looks like we're getting forwards outside of the Prem, which is a shift on our end. Kai, Jesus and Sterling all came within the league. I'll wait to judge our window until it's closed, we have long long summer ahead....

I used to think it was only online, but something has changed this year. You’ll meet some random strangers at the pub talking about “phases” and “trust the process” as if we’ve been relegated. The amount of fake quotes that are being recycled is mad, I wish it was only an online thing.

Bro Liverpool fans are super obsessed with Arteta in particular. They watch every interview and presser. Not enough to win these days, you need to “dunk” on someone. Our fans are probably not better, but footy discussions are lazy and boring, every take is disingenuous.

It’s crazy. I’ve got random strangers at the pub talking about “phases” and “trust the process” as if we finished 17th and got knocked out in the UCL in the league phase. These so called rivals esp Pool fans watch every Arteta pre/post match interviews and pressers.

I can ignore Sky as an individual broadcast, but can’t escape their influence. Every other network and social media rehash and discuss whatever narrative they plant. When you are dealing with nation states in football, best believe the media landscape is going in the direction of good PR for some….

Sky have downplayed every Arsenal win since last season. Not once have they brought up Arsenals big six form, instead all we hear about when Arsenal win is “over celebrating”, “dark arts”, “annoying set piece coach” “too emotional”, “not brave enough” and more……

The Arsenal hate has reached levels I'd never thought was possible. Esp towards Arteta, Saka and MLS. Liverpool fans in particular seems very obsessed. I used to think it was an online thing, but defo spilled over to the IRL as well. It's beyond banter, it's real hate.

The coach and the players fully deserve the win. A club that can loan out their 90M striker mid season and their 75M other striker holding bench in a final was always going to win at some stage. Compare that to our fans crying over 65M Havertz, as a stick to beat the manager with. Oh and fuck City!!

Haha fairs, just missed out on the tiny detail of him scorning the winner in one. Genuinely believe there is scope for an upgrading on the three positions mentioned. Does not mean we sell them just bolster the squad with better quality and go for everything.

Attackers, attackers and attackers!!! We need to reduce Ode, Kai and Martinelli to squad players. Very good players but not good enough to win UCL imo. I don’t care about wages and stuff just get it done. Our current attack is not scary.

He is right though. But football is not played on Xg sheets. We are by far the best team they’ve played all season. Individual quality killed us in the end. Coaching wise, Mikel is as good as they come.

They made Inter look their age, very well executed game by PSG. Also clearly shows what we lack. 3 clear positions we can upgrade to get over the line. LW, ST and 10, that is where we make up the margins we are lacking. Ode, Gabi and Kai are not at that super elite level. We must be honest.

Sounds like Arsenal waited Chelsea out. Delap going to Chelsea rules them out for Sesko. Meaning we eliminate the number one club for inflating prices. RB will most likely honor the gentlemans agreement. The only other club that could challenge us for Sesko is Pool, but they need to sell Nunes first
comment in response to

Well put!! Give us someone that forces the issue. Another very important thing I look for in strikers, are strikers that won’t settle with just one goal. Gykores wants a hattrick in every game he plays. Just a relentless fucker.

The Sterling stuff and blaming the manger for it, is just lazy, narrative driven shit that I'd expect from a Twitter troll and not a so called expert/legend of the club. Also, never understood why Arsenal are the only club itw that are not allowed to have signings that fail.

Europa Leauge is a way harder tournament to win, I agree with that. Congrats Spurs. See you at the NLD next season hopefully with Ange still in charge🙏🏽

Congratulations on winning it. Not sure why you’re so desperate of making this an Arsenal thing. Fact of the matter is that UECL is a C-level comp. As for pots, tell me how that matters in any meaningful way. Most top teams would much rather play Chelsea than Arsenal knowing it’s easier to beat you.
comment in response to

Thanks for keeping track. We need to win, no doubt about that. A conference would not have changed anything for us though. Not sure why it’s controversial to call the conference a C-level European cup with the best team being 73rd best team in Europe across all comps (UCL, UEL, UECL). Just a fact!
comment in response to

You just skipped the congrats part I guess. The conference is factually a competition for the 73rd best team in Europe and below. Not sure what’s so controversial about it. Be proud about the win and see you in the champs next season.

Why are you making this about Arsenal. Arsenals European legacy is poor everyone knows that. But a conference is factually a competition for the 73rd best team in Europa and below. ”Major” uno😂😂😂
comment in response to

Not slagging off anything, you clearly ignored the congrats part. Being the 73rd best team in Europe by winning the conference is not an opinion it’s a fact. The price of winning it, is a Europa League spot ffs.

Congrats to Chelsea for being the 73rd best team in Europe this season. The 72 teams ahead of them played in UCL and UEL.

Most likely United. Need to have a pretty poor season to end up in the conference or Europa league. The conference is an actual joke though. Up until last season, teams that finished 3rd in the Europa groups ended up there lol

That’s true, although Henrys commentary on anything regarding Arteta should be taken with pinch of salt. Only real disappointment is this season for me. Injuries fucked us, but that is a result of two very poor windows. Let’s see what a summer with Berta brings!

Hi lads, thanks for yet another season.
Is that left 8 position our biggest question mark still? Feels like we haven’t seen nor understand what to expect from that role, besides in big games where Rice forces loads of high turnovers against teams that are willing to build up #arsecastextra

Your point is fair and something I Iargely agree with. My only issue is that I hate the hypocritical (not you btw) position english media takes when the it's a "foreigner" doing it. These guys did not have an issue with Fergi banning journalist from the the pressers and intimidating refs. It stinks.

comment in response to

Nice article bro. Funniest shit that came out of this final is that I believe Arteta could fix this United side. If Arsenal ever got rid of him, both Chelsea and United will move and get rid of whoever they have now to get him. Same goes for Bayern me think.
comment in response to

Yup, just sit-back and see who the club goes for. Club and Arteta loves Kai because of his IQ. The striker we'll get will not "replace" Kai but rather share minutes with him. Closest in profile is Sesko, but the price is really sticky. Sesko for 40/50m is a no brainer. Everything beyond 60 is wild.

Best hope for them is a Maguire or Casemiro header. Not starting Garnacho against Spurs backline is criminal.
comment in response to

Not playing Garnacho is a huge mistake. Amorim shat himself...Hojlund is terrible and Mount is null and void.
