We just can't compete through the centre corridor. As such we spend so much time chasing the opposition and when we finally do get the ball we tend to make a skill error and give the ball right back. Happy times.

I only read this book for the first time last year. I found it to be quite interesting and finished it in a single setting but I didn't really warm to Holden and I'm not sure I was supposed to. Perhaps if I read it as a teen I would have felt differently.

Damn! Curses on the person that planted them on this property (they are um, rather well established).
I cut a few down once and left one on the driveway...it damnwell took root right there.

There's a road near me that was set at 100kmph. It's pretty much a rural road...no real properties to speak of. I drive along it twice a day. Never saw any evidence of accidents. Suddenly it's an 80 zone.
