Completely agree. Decent creative player who knows how to control a ball, pass a ball forwards, and cross a ball in the direction of strikers….think sheedy and tricky trev

Dad and uncle took my cuz and me on coach with only two tickets between us. My cuz & I were given them. I started crying when we went 2 down and a woman next to me gave me a sandwich 🤷🏻‍♂️ met dad/unc after game, they hadn’t secured tickets but a local had invited them to watch on tele in his house#kind

I loved him….and he was always great during the Christmas period 🙃

Hmmmm….surprise surprise….

Kavanagh did it once for us at Analfield when we beat the RS 0-2, declining to overturn his pen award when DCL was tripped and VAR intervened. It was a brave and absolutely correct decision but…he hasn’t given us anything since. Wonder if Mr England will now be similarly schooled by his employers?🤔

Is this a competition to insert the missing word: “Jake didn’t……. in his first outing at CB”

Would be or wouldn’t be surprised…?

John is trying to deflect from the shitshow at his own club. TFG or Jim Ratcliffe 🤔🤔

Genuine question from a Brit watching what’s happening in horror: has anyone seen the damage to Trump’s ear since he was shot? Surely being hit by a high velocity bullet, however slightly, would have left some kind of scar/lasting damage but I’ve never seen a photo. Not like Trump to be camera shy…

Cheryl: I raise you an Alexander-Arnold.

According to the Bank of England official inflation calculator, that is equivalent to £83,855 in today’s money…possibly on a par with £60 grand Seamus 🤔

Spot on! 8 unbeaten with a squad depleted of some of our better creative players. Yes, it could have been better tonight but context is everything. We got another point and moved up the league. UTFT!!!

I remember watching his first game for us - was it a European match? - and was really excited that, in that match, he showed that he had a left foot that was almost Sheedy-like. Sadly, we only saw occasional glimpses of real ability, he did score a few thunderbastards.

No, villa are now one goal worse than us 😊

And what are they thinking having a bloke from Greater Manchester as the VAR?

It’s funny that he turns around and walks away from the goal claiming a pen before turning back to strike home a very composed finish 👍

IF Broja/DCL hadn’t been injured, Beto (now our saviour😉) would have been sold and THAT would have generated spending cash. Reality is, until the end of June, we’ve still got to be very careful with our finances. Jimmy G & Tim back is +ve and if McNeill is near, Broja/DCL back March, we’ll be ok 🤞

Did you switch it off twice Alan or have you got two teles?

First loan - fantastic! Second loan - hmmm, not so good imo.

Is he from the same part of Carlisle as Branthwaite? 😉

Is this another PSR transfer like Cannon and Dobbin?

John was about 6ft when he was 10, used to be an outfield player and kids of the same age, incl. my son, used to bounce off him. Couple of years later, even taller, he joined my son’s team cos he wanted to play in goal. Subsequently scouted by Cambs Utd….and the rest is history

I was there too. He also stopped a dribble in the middle of the pitch and put his knee on the ball, and later wiped his nose on the corner flag. I hated him that day…but he was the best player I’ve seen when he joined us. Shame on the Catt for selling him

Absolutely ran the game when we beat Forest away last season. Brilliant performance. In his early games, his first thought was to look and play forwards which was a novelty for us. But later, most games, he’d play ‘safe’. Decent but safe. Tactics? Coaching? Confidence? Deffo got a lot to offer imo.

Since he was shot, has anyone seen the damage that it did to his right ear? Are there any photos? After being hit by a high velocity bullet - even if it was merely a glancing shot - I can’t imagine that it didn’t leave at least a scratch.

Agree that Patterson is a big plus going forward but sometimes his defensive positioning, tackling and stopping crosses can be almost as bad as Alexander Armstrong across the park.

I didn’t see that game cos I was abroad. Everyone has said it’s the best we’d been for years. What was so different in those 87 minutes compared to the way we’ve played most games since? Formation? Style? Attitude? Seems that Dyche was really spooked by that defeat and reverted to type.

Hopefully the start of a new era of progressive football and results🤞 tbf I think he deserves credit for last season, with the points deductions and the impact that had on the players, him also, and us. Sadly, we’ve gone backwards this season (especially during games 😡) and a change had to come.

Three points in December that I wasn’t expecting tbh. It would have been six if the RS hadn’t bottled the Derby. UTFT!!!

But we did win the league the season after he left

Cars as head coach, DoF to do the management stuff
comment in response to post
I think Carsley has the type of approach that players/fans appreciate. He’s innovative, wants to play on the front foot, players seem to respond to him…I’ve seen it said that it can’t be him ‘cos he’s never managed a club side’…So make him head coach, the DoF can deal with the rest.
