So Hegseth lied under oath today. Marine infantry units aren’t trained for this.

"Adolf Hitler was a master of manufacturing public-security crises to advance his authoritarian agenda."

Gov. Gavin Newsom: "Congress is nowhere to be found." "Speaker Johnson has completely abdicated that responsibility. The rule of law has increasingly been given way to the rule of Don."

BREAKING: California Governor Gavin Newsom delivers a 'major address' in response to the Trump admin.'s actions in L.A. "Authoritarian regimes begin by targeting people who are least able to defend themselves, but they do not stop there," Newsom said.

Here’s our National Guard sleeping on the floor because Trump and Hegseth have no idea how to lead. Their incompetence is off the charts. It apparently didn't dawn on anyone at the top that basics like food, water, restrooms and places to sleep might be necessary during an open-ended deployment.

Newsom: "Democracy is under assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared has arrived. He's taking a wrecking ball to our Founding Father's historic project."

In this video I compare footage from last night's episode of "Hannity" where he included a live feed from the protests in Los Angeles to archived footage from the January 6th riots. It's pretty clear the two events are not at all alike.

Happy TACO TUESDAY to all those who celebrate! #Yum 😋

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?" The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

1. I'm going to thread out the very odd sequence of events that led Fox News anchor John Robert, theoretically a "straight news" guy, to pretend the early hours of June 7 actually happened a day ago in order to avoid pointing out that Donald Trump was wrong about something.

U.S. District Judge Adrienne Nelson will begin calculating $500 daily fines for each person left waiting in a local jail more than a week before admission to the state’s psychiatric hospital.

Day 56. 🇺🇸

SCOOP: The CDC is planning to move information on cases of diseases like measles and polio to a data system managed by Palantir, raising concerns about patient privacy. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/06/h...

This is just eye opening. The entire SpaceX direction is a money hole. We have got to stop thinking billionaires are geniuses. www.planetearthandbeyond.co/p/starship-d...

No laughing matter 😡

In my worst nightmares the teenagers at DOGE take over the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and, yup, here we are.

🚨🚨🚨 #MI10 Rep. John James (R) just voted to strip away healthcare from up to 102,000 of his own constituents. James won by 6.1 points last year. Dems have overperformed in Special Elections by 15 points so far this year. Donate to flip #MI10 today: secure.actblue.com/donate/house...

The Supreme Court today allowed Trump to temporarily remove the leaders of two independent agencies, setting up a direct challenge to the legal principle that limits a president’s power to fire officials at will.

When we add to this the Cato Institute report showing how many migrants sent to El Salvador had in fact entered the country legally, THIS is the top story of the night. The U.S. is sending people to horrors in foreign prisons. People who have had no due process. An actual nightmare.

I think she means “we agreed to dismiss his charge because we have no evidence.”

Injured DC police officer Dan Hodges on Justice Dept settlement with estate of Ashli Babbitt: “…Trump wants to pay the insurrectionists so that he'll have them on retainer for the next time he wants to influence the course of history with mass violence.”

The Rules Committee meets at 1 AM on Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning to ram through this disastrous bill. Why? Because they don't want you to see them ripping healthcare from millions of Americans. You do not hold a hearing for a bill at 1 AM unless you're completely ashamed of it.

For no particular reason, I thought I’d remind folks about the time Trump reposted a full-size, full-color image of a truck that was “decorated” with an unconscious Joe Biden, arms and legs bound as though he’d been kidnapped, during the campaign. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

but seashells!

This explains a lot.

The “fluoride removal” bit is a solution in search of a problem. Fluoride levels in Florida are completely safe, help prevent cavities, and keep kids in school. Where’s the evidence it’s been remotely harmful? There isn’t any. No ethics, no morals, all smoke and mirrors.

Even Putin would be embarrassed by this.

Putin and the rest of the world continuing to laugh at these bumbling fools.

The GOP’s reconciliation bill is one of the worst environmental bills I’ve ever seen. It guts public input, silences tribal and community voices, slashes environmental protections, and hands sacred and public lands to the lowest bidder with no accountability.

There are downsides to the US being the worlds policeman. But in a case like this the US wld normally be convening other powers to help deescalate the situation btw India and Pakistan. Is anyone in Washington even paying attention? Vance I think just said the US doesn’t care.

Turns out that when you base essentially your entire case for becoming president on the idea that there's an ongoing invasion by murderous criminals and only mass deportations can solve the problem, your voters expect you to produce said criminals. Now they're just going after anyone they can.

The disrespect for Congress and the law is glaring - and for our nation a threat to our public safety.

Literally what @sarahkendzior.bsky.social has been saying all along: Trump is a member of a transnational crime syndicate.
