Most of us have probably tried it: You’ve delivered a solid performance. But you still hear a voice in the back of your mind whispering that you were just lucky. It is the impostor syndrome, and @sucharit.bsky.social talks about it here: uniavisen.dk/en/you-did-w... @smfleming.bsky.social

Tip for PhD applicants reaching out to prospective advisors: Don’t use an LLM to write these emails. It’s not a great first impression to express your admiration for a recent paper the faculty member published if that paper does not exist.

#EduSky A must-read esp. if you use AI tools, are being made to "just try them" at school, or are having your students use them.

“Palantir’s selection as a chief vendor for the project was driven by Elon Musk’s DOGE, according to government officials. At least 3 DOGE members formerly worked at Palantir, while 2 others had worked at companies funded by Peter Thiel, investor/founder of Palantir.” Is this “draining the swamp?”

One follow-up on this: Part of my belief is that science (and scientists) must resist the urge to try and put everything on science's plate. I think we can understand meaning - through *art*. Let's not have science stray into those areas where it falls flat and art excels. 🧪
